shmook
the T-1 looks awesome on it. i would have never even thought of trying one, but ive always been a fan of aimpoints on them, ala blackhawk down styleee! its to the point where i cant decide to mount one on mine, or a small scope. im using the scope off my L96 at the moment (its out of service for now), which is too big for a socom, but the only scope i have. i may rip the aimpoint off my M4, which gives me an excuse to buy something else! ooh, decisions... Seraphim989
Oh its so awesome!!! I want one now. Damn you for making me want to get another M14!
Fellowz
cheers guys, ive tried my 552 on it and it was way too big and it threw the whole gun off balance. so i opted for the T1 it works well and its practical enough.

What's the deal with the front rail you have the optic mounted to? Everywhere I look the top cover is one solid piece, did you need to cut a hole yourself?

Fellowz
this was an aftermarket heatshield and rail cover from WGC the original heat sheild wasn't textured like this one and it was already cut to accomidate the mount.
TheFull9
Ah right, thanks. WGC only has them in tan which is a shame, will have to have a look around.

ev1436
^ i dont know where to get one, but heres mine lolz: got the wood kit in a trade, no idea wher it originally came from, but i know that G&G and TM stocks arent interchangeable so be careful. also i think the G&G M14 'veteran' comes with real wood. TheKurodaVagrant
That gun is ugly as hell. I love it.
Delta14
Anyone know where you can get a wooden stock for a TM M14 I've been looking around for ages and can't find any. I even considered getting a cyma one with the real wood but the grain just looked terrible.
BaggyPants
The wood on the CYMA sands down really nicely. Just done mine with not too much effort, stained it and wax polished it. Looks and feels the dogs doodahs now. Will post photos in this thread once I've finished tweaking other parts of the rifles appearance.
SpoonMan
Well, no promises as to whether laylax still makes this, but its worth looking into I suppose: http://www.trinityairsoft.com/p-557-m14-wo...-by-laylax.aspx

Short Stack
Why's the front of the scope taped? it seems like it'd be pretty hard to use it.
shmook
*sigh* its not hard to use like that, and it greatly reduces the chance of being spotted, due to reduced 'flash', and also breaking up the shape of the lens
Short Stack
Sorry, i'm not very good with all this sniper stuff, and covert stuff.
