BoE.Solidius
Yes that is the G&G RK47. I plan on getting the 1974 type handle grip (brown) and the Inokatsu scope mount for my red dot. Then do some things here and there.
RC-1138
CA SLR-105A1 Wood Steel, writing a review for it right now
GRIM!
CA wood is just horrible
BoE.Solidius
I owned a CA SLR PARA actually called an AKS74 but the wood was so cheap. I also didn't like the Magnesium they used for the reciever but over all they shoot great just dont have that AK feel to them. I wish CA would get there AK names right. This issn't even an SLR.
RC-1138
Yeah the wood isn't the greatest, you can't tell in that pic but on the opposite side of the stock there's a huge crack that runs more or less the length of the whole stock. I'm thinking of changing it out with a ICS wood kit.
BoE.Solidius
ICS is even worse. Atleast what I have dealt with my friends AK47. I would go with INOKATSU's 47 wood kit. Very realiable, about 95% real from the real deal, and they should fit on CA's I am not sure though you may want to double check but I recommend INOKATSU man. The only down fall is there wood kit is pretty pricey. Â Or you could go with a metal folding stock from CA.
smelsonlaflin
yeah, i have the composite slr-105 , its a pain to get the ca grips off, another fail. still shoots well
RC-1138
To be honest I just want a kit that doesn't come cracked stock. I've held the ICS at a local store and it felt strong enough for airsoft purposes and was in one piece at least lol.
TheKurodaVagrant
Better yet, just buy some real-steel wood and get the job done right. Not to say that Inokatsu's wood isn't awesome, it's just that the RS wood will add something special to the mix.
RC-1138
Probably be cheaper too. I've had the idea, but then I realized I'd have to do some major work to fit the battery and IDK if the handguards would have to be modified as well so I dropped the idea.
TheKurodaVagrant
If the gun uses a Marui-like system, then realistic handguards might have to be modified. If it uses the VFC/Dboys or the Inokatsu system, then RS wood is a drop-in fit. Bulgarian wood goes for fairly low prices and can be found much easier than good-looking airsoft brands. It's definitely better than the crappy ICS and CA wood. Seriously, what were their designers thinking?
Armez
Keeping things moving. Â This is mine... Â
BoE.Solidius
Nice AK103! Â I never liked the G&G 103/104's though, the darn stock didn't even fold man wtf. Thankfully VFC has a counter part that folds. Â I like the knife too! Â Do you use STAR MIDs?
Bloodsword
I dont think CA uses magnesium in the Para model, steel it is.
BoE.Solidius
Your right not the reciever but the top Dust Cover is completley Magnesium. Also the selector switch is Magnesium too. Â I'll wait untill CA can make an AK that can field strip.
-Cougar
Beware!!! Don't buy any CA! Even Dboys is far better. And if you got the money, then buy VFC! Â Hmm, how could i tell you how i build my VSS? The wooden Stock ...is handmade, with some normal tools. The body is made from metal sheet. Inside the body is a shortened AK74 plastic receiver with the HU-Unit and Gearbox. The frontset ist made from steel tube and fiberglas. Trigger and fire selector are also made from metal sheet. Top cover is a modified AK74 one...The fake bolt-carrier is also made from an Ak74 one..but modified with metal sheet. Return spring is an M85 from an AEG ..right over the stopper rail from the Gearbox. The whole receiver is shorter and lowered as much as it was possible. So the barrel is still in the middle of the silencer. Barrel is a AK type barrel. Almost all of the gun is self made exept the internals
Snigel
Crappy pic, but here's my AKM that came in today (It's now an AIM ) The factory sent Ting at RMW a kit with wood furniture so I got that! The colour don't match the lower handguard that I put on tho.. Â Â Not sure that i like the RMW assembling process :/ Having some trouble getting things such as the top cover to fit smoothly etc.. Â Anyhow, feels more real then the Dboys
Bersy
Very nice snigel! looks kick *albatross*!!
GRIM!
If u cant get the topcover on you have to adjust the rear sight foward, cus ifts to far back the dust cover wont fit.
Snigel
Yeah I've figured that out, thx Now I have the upper and lower handguards matching and have worn it down a bit, love it so much! Taking it out to play tomorrow
