Thankfully VFC has a counter part that folds. I like the knife too! Do you use STAR MIDs? If only I could mount the damn thing! But I guess you can't put a 8in, extra veiny multicam dildo at the end of an AK either sans tape... Good eye on the mags, yes they are star mags. Wobble pretty bad though, but they get the job done. But instead of buying 2 guns, Why don't you just get a Kalash AK74M. Black furniture, full metal, all the nessecary parts and a snazzy folding stock. Link to post Share on other sites

The Kalash is a drop in fit for RS steel handguards but not for TM, CYMA, JG handguards. But it comes with black Polymer furniture so you wouldn't need to replace it. Dboys appear to be releasing their full range in all steel (except the barrel, like the VFC), personally i'd keep the cyma AKM as an AKM (or do an AIMS project or summut) and buy the full steel Dboys AKS74 when it comes out (i doubt it'll be that long, they just need to redo the front end in steel, they already have all the stock hinges etc sorted from their new version AKSU) Link to post Share on other sites

ComradeMP1 Posted April 20, 2008 Report Share Posted April 20, 2008 Yep, there's a difference, Flash hiders cut down the amount of visible flash while a muzzle break/compensator vents the gases exiting the barrel in a certain direction (usually upper right) to help compensate for the muzzle jump. Something like that, I can't really remember correctly. Speaking of muzzle breaks/compensators/flash hiders, the one on the AK74 style is supposed to be one of the most effective in the world (naturally), but let's say that the gun "barks" more loudly with it on. I managed to find a Bulgarian made one for only $17 shipped , now I only have to figure out how the hell i'm going to mount it on my G&G. Link to post Share on other sites
