Here is my Custom M1 Garand AEG now finished, externally that is. Only thing I need to finish it up is this one metal piece.

The base rifle is a TSD M14.

All the parts I bought to modify it to an M1 Garand were:

repro M1 Garand Handguards

original M1 Garand Gas Cylinder and front sight assembly

original M1 Garand Buttplate

original M1 Garand Sling

The Stock is a modified M14 one which is mostly plastic with some real wood added onto it.

The reciever needed a lot of sanding, gluing, and cutting to look right.

Here's my 4th rifle

Its my best rifle as far as authenticity and sturdiness goes. The receiver proportions are pretty much as good as they can be. I still have another one in the works that is a tad better. This one rocks though. This is the first time I've done a blondie wood finish which I thought turned out nice. I hope the customer is happy with it. It also uses new shorter mags which fit in Kar98 pouches, got the idea from someone on WWIIAA.

I also added a wire that can be used to pull the mags out.

Well here is my MP44 or is it more a MP43...

Still a little bit of work to it, need to darken up the pistolgrip more, and a couple more coats of Birchwood more on the handguard and gaspiston housing, and a few other bits and bobs...
