MrSnuggleBump
RM, do both your 17's have Guarder frames?? For some reason the tan frame appears different to what i have seen before.
RacingManiac
Yeah its a Guarder frame. For what its worth its the 2nd gen model, with a reinforced front screw post...
frogfish
God I love that tan slide. Is it just a light dusting or is it totally FDE covered so the original finish dosen't show through, also is it duracoat or some other brand of enamel?
RacingManiac
Its Duracoat "Magpul FDE". I sent it to a Duracoat finisher to get it done...
slu
RM: What slide is that on the FDE Glock? The front serrations are nice.
RacingManiac
Its a Guarder steel slide, the serration is machined by myself....
slu
Very nice! I'm assuming you used an end mill? What diameter?
RacingManiac
7/64" http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/116/2485/=9mds35
frogfish
A duracoat finisher....hrmm I just always bought the paint and airbrushed it on. So it's a solid finish no frosting or transparency...good to know, I hope you don't mind but I may do that to mine when/if I ever get the cash together, although it will look different, no custom serrations for me! RacingManiac
Free world dude....do what you feel like, I just copy other RS guns....lol I don't have airbrush and other tool, and I am horrible with paint....easier to pay someone who knows what they are doing to do it.... frogfish
It's just such an amazing looking pistol, and you take great photos so it dosen't help with the temptations...

Shadow_Ocelot
I can't stop drooling over those HERA ARMS kits. Not sure what I think about that outer barrel. How did you mount it on there?
Fellowz
The outer barrel or shroud is only there to conceal the Vsr Gspec inner barrel I got coming soon , all I done was machine a piece of mild steel to the same outer diameter as the original aluminium one and made it 6 inches long the. Made M4 taps for it as the original shroud stays in place via a pair of screws either side of the kit hidden under the rails, it's simple to install, good because I will be using this as a primary weapon quite often so I need that little extra range and accuracy. Sidewinder-forge
Here's my HERA conversion. I made an ally adapter with a 14x1mm LH thread to fit anything from a silencer to an M16 birdcage. SAS
