skyrider1
There it is with the steel slide with bad lighting and silicon oil all over the slide. It weighs 816.77g fully loaded 20+1 0.20g BBs compared to real steel that weighs 872.8 fully loaded with 15+1 9mm. Pretty close in weight. I am going to get the AIP BBU to lighten up the slide unit by 25g, then pick up the steel front rails that will probably add some more weight. Wingman
To Adv Member: Stick with the KJW. I've also had mine for years with no issues-it always works. Want it to look "nicer", get the Guarder slide group. I've had KSC/KWA G17's, 18's, a 19, a 26 and a 26c. While they were ok, they were never as dependable as the KJW's and TM's that replaced them all.
Ivan le Fou
For those having KJ G23s: how difficult is it to change the frame? Are there tutorials and stuff?
RacingManiac
For those having KJ G23s: how difficult is it to change the frame? Are there tutorials and stuff? I think they are the same as the TM Glock. I've owned a KJ G23 briefly(a Canadian special with the semi-clear frame), I stripped the frame to paint it and the process felt exactly like all the TMs(sold the gun after I painted the frame). If you have done that before you should be fine. IMO its a lot easier than KSC... Edited September 17, 2012 by RacingManiac
aznriptide859
Very easy, if it's similar to the KSC's. Punch out a few pins, take out a screw, and just carefully remove all the mechanisms. Don't forget the mag catch too (easier to take out on TM than KSC).
skyrider1
Basically the same as a TM G17 so find a guide for that. Watch out for the spring for the disconnector on the right side of the rear hammer unit. It likes to jump out and disappear. I also found the magazine catch/spring a bit troublesome to switch (compared to the TM). I think there is at least one disassembly guide online for the TM g17 so look for that. cypher619
Use an off set 45 degree hook pick to remove the magazine catch pin(part #72). Fairly easy. To Skyrider is that you Dave? Edited September 18, 2012 by cypher619

kenxin
Nice! detonator XS sights, right? how easy are they to use?
skyrider1
Looks like a KWA/KSC, so I'm guessing RS. Very nice G19, I liked the stipple and the shaved finger grooves. Is that the G&G slide? I never liked how they always looked like they were too long for the frame. The front always looks like it's poking too far out.
FireKnife
Those sights, hmm, not sure If they had a guttersnipe one, now that would be interesting. 'FireKnife'
jkpics
Real XS-Sight Big dots, G&G slide. Best pistol sights ever for shooting moving targets while moving your self, dot the i, pull the trigger.
FireKnife
Hmm, looks good. But I still prefer the white rear notch and fore dot style ones. But then much better than normal 3-dot sights. 'FireKnife'
kenxin
argh , didn't notice it was a 19 and a KSC..oh well. Curse you ksc users for being able to use RS sights.... If I ever get a g26 I was thinking about using this kind of sight since they look awesome for fast aquisition but I always doubt how accurate they are... Nice pistol nevertheless
jkpics
XS-Sight big dot demo http://youtu.be/AY5RURFEGd8
kenxin
yeah, saw that ages ago...still, it's not that I don't trust those demos , it's just that it doesn't work like that. Whatever that man is able to acomplish with those sights it's probably different from what I'd be able to acomplish. By the way, does anyone know of a store that has detonator Heinie sights for the marui 17 in stock? (online is OK) I need those for my salient arms glock 35.
jkpics
Yeah, training and practice is so unfair, and the sights are more precise then any airsoft pistol so I don't see any problems.
Ivan le Fou
Mounted my Guarder Frame. F*ck*ng springs jumping everywhere...
Agent Hunk
Anyone know if the ATP will take KWA/KSC threaded barrels? I don't need a suppressor to mount, I just like the look of the threaded barrel.
uscmCorps
I've tried installing Glock outer barrels into my ATPs. The fit has always been tight with some binding going on. I did not investigate it beyond that initial test fitting.
RacingManiac
Mounted my Guarder Frame. F*ck*ng springs jumping everywhere... Haha....I just did that...waiting for my steel G19 slide to get here, and the Gunsmodify sights... Currently budgeting weekend to do stippling....
RacingManiac
Also, got Guarder's steel threaded barrel for the G17...being lazy and shot a pic with my cell...
aznriptide859
Where did you get one? I want one bad for my Glock
RacingManiac
Where did you get one? I want one bad for my Glock Airsoft Global is where I found it....been looking for one for a while. I am also happy that is the one-piece variant, and works great with my steel slide, no need to refit anything...
