And my first attempt at stippling is...not too shabby, as it turns out.

My first glock, marui g17 foliage green with the guns modify SAI slide set. Phone picture.

Stock TM frame finally breaks after so many years so this one is quick and dirty to keep down time minimal I didn't even completely knock down the stock texture on front/back straps   This is

Honestly, if I could go back, I probably would have just built something else. The E1 timberwolf frame is a POS. Every time I thought I had it smooth, I found another air bubble in the plastic that I would have to smooth out. I have a buddy that works in a prop shop who thinks he can make me the brass backstrap and mag release, so I am going to try and finish it for now.

I still think its hilarious that SAI wont admit they just used a timberwolf frame. "Build from the ground up" - my *albatross*.

I have no problems with the TW frame but I never stipple as I find it ugly and not anymore functional than leaving it alone.

Scotchbright the frame, 100% clean it of any and all oils and contamination. Replace gloves because they have oils and such on them.

Make sure your tip is always clean of oils and debris.

Make sure your iron is in good working order, old ones tend to not heat up all the surface area even with new tips.

I rather like the TW frame over the oem glock frame.

Let's be honest, in the grand scheme of things, that is the very least of their sins as a business.

Not that it matters really.  Airsoft.
