Hedganian
Is that scope/handle/red-dot any good, optics-wise? Certainly looks damn nice.
ollie_ty
Weirdly, Im sure the ARES Dual Optics has an LED in the side . I wonder if they planned to do something like that aswell?
midnight_sailor
The red dot's great. I put a review of the unit in the tactical equipment and accessories review section if you need more in depth info. I may not be able to compare to the star version, but I can say that it's perfectly usable.
Hedganian
Nice review. I may look into getting one of those when I have money again.

biosHazard
I already have the reflex sight, but it just didn't look good enough for me. The reason I don't want the micro, doctor, or eotech is because all I've found through research is that they don't perform well, especially with windage and elevation adjustments, which is a big problem when they'll be mounted so high up. The s point also seems to have gotten bad reviews also. I was wondering if anyone has pictures of a g36 carry handle optic with a 30mm rds like the G&P delta sight or something less common. The reflex sight jutting out up there just seems to ruin the lines of the g36. Something flatter or horizontal would seem to compliment it better Hi there, could you please provide some info on how did you mount that reflex sight there, I have a JG G36KE, and really love the built in sight, but i need a reflex sight mounted on top also, for close range. Can you or anyone provide some insight on how to do this? I want to mount this : http://www.airsoftneamt.ro/eco/index.php?a...mp;productId=64 How can this be possible without some rails? Thanks

Thanks There are optics that include the rail on the top that you can mount that red dot. Other than that i don't think it's possible without some sort of rail on top. A friend of mine super-glued a rail on top. Maybe u'd wanna try that

Thanks Firstly - please don't quote pictures. A link is more than enough. Secondly, if you look carefulyl at the pictures, you'll see that the reflex sight is mounted on a standard 20mm rail on top of the carry handle. This was introduced by H&K with the G36A2, many pictures of this configuration abound in this thread and elsewhere online. You can see an example of the rail here.
biosHazard
Thanks leonvx671 and Hedganian, i can see my options now, I have also been suggested on my local forum that I either get a new carry handle with a rail, or glue a rail there. Most definetly i'll be going on with the second option. Edited September 23, 2009 by biosHazard
Hedganian
Unless your current handle has the most ultimate scope ever put into an airsoft g36, I'd suggest that getting a new handle with a rail will produce a better end result.
leonvx671
there's a number of carry handle options/brands... Classic Army -has the 3x scope G&P -has the 3.5x scope Ares (Former Star) -3x scope -3x scope with rail -3x scope with rail/red-dot (Dual-Optic) Other brands too but those are the three i've heard good things about...I plan on getting the Ares Dual-Optic even though it has some shoddy reviews about the red dot which I can partly agree on... Con to gluing a rail...glue it at an angle with super-glue and your carry handle is pretty much screwed...lol...has happened by experience before
ollie_ty
ARES Dual Optics are Shoddy. I was on the " Oh the can't be that bad" Bandwagon. Then I bought then, and realised that the mob never lies. THE MOB NEVER LIES. N00btard made a guide about how to actually drill into the scope without touching the scope tube to fit a rail, send him a PM to see if he saved it. EDIT : I can also compare the ACM red dot to the ARES one. Its a hell of alot more functional, but mine has ever so slight parallax issues. But, like I said, this one doesnt burn your eyes ! fullmetalxero
First time posting pictures, here's my G36 family. Group Photo G36K, looking for a flash hider for this CA SL8 And avert your eyes, its my G36C i tried to style after a Hammerburst from GoW. It didn't turn out as cool as i thought. Lon
Whoa... sweet Hammerburst attempt... that must be fun to use. On a related Gears note, I personally always thought the Lancer resembled the G3 (SAS) quite a bit. Anyway, great job on doing something different. Nice SL too, just paint that tip up! AciDeX
just got this in the mail yesterday, MMMmmmm MMmmmm little SRC Gen III G36KV! My first G36 of my own, besides messing around with my roommate's JG G36C. I gotta say I'm impressed! Nothing real special to look at right now, but I kinda like it the way it is. I do kind of want some BUIS of some sort on that rail though, I think some 416 style backup iron sights would look great! Edited September 26, 2009 by AciDeX
