Gearbox Shell Tightness

Hey guys,

 

After messing around quite a bit with a Ver. 2 G3SAS TM gearbox.

I've noticed that the shells tension seems to cause the gears to bind up.

Is this normal or do I have bad shims? or bad bushings? or did I do a bad job shimming.

You should be shimming the gearbox so that when the gearbox is fully tightened down the gears dont bind. This is why they suggest when you shim that you shim each gear then tighten the gearbox all the way down and test it there.
