tr1gg3r_h4ppy
Well guys, I am about to undertake my first full fledged repair. I'm a little nervous to be honest, this is not my gun and I usually am more comfortable working on others guns than my own. But my mate is in a bit of a jam so... TRAUMA CENTER!!! UNDER THE PHILLIPS HEAD The Patient: Classic Army m15a4 The Symptoms: Gun is cycling but not feeding. ROF is normal, but BB's will not leave the gun. My Diagnosis: It appears something is wrong with either the hop up assembly or the tappet plate. I believe that I will need to order a new tappet plate, possibly new hop up bucking. possibly even a new hop up. Basically does everyone agree with this diagnosis? I'm comfortable with working with a v2 gearbox. Is there anything I could have possibly missed? Thanks, Brett
DarkLite
Open the gearbox before ordering parts - there's nothing worse than getting the wrong ones. IT sounds like a tappet plate or air nozzle failure. www.mechbox.com
tr1gg3r_h4ppy
Thanks Darklite. Yeah I should definitely have the gun open in front of me before ordering the parts though. /head smack ahaha thank you though =]
dobey
Pull out the mag, flip the gun over and dry fire it. Can you see the nozzle cycling? Can you push it in and let it spring back out freely? Is there a round jammed in the hop unit/barrel? I would verify all these before opening the gun up. Also is the magazine working correctly? Have you tried a few different mags in it?
