I dunno about the C8 it has a specific canadian mag which he has obviously also made so perhaps thats why? As im assuming this doesnt run on an external gas rig? But also isnt the barrel assemble more typical of the C8? Im not sure but i think so.

Im not sure about this if i was gonna get a GBB m4 i would probobly just go for a more well known and well reviewed escort system.

It's not a C8. There are three variants of the Canadian C8 carbine;

C8 and C8A1;

And our refurbished C8A2's

While there are still old stock of the thermold mags kicking around in some reserve units etc, the Canadian Army now uses STANAG mags same as most countries now. TK has no clue about how they are marketing this.

...but I liked the thermold mags, and what exactly are the differences between an M4 and a C8?

Off the top of my head, the grip's a bit more curvy at the back, the stock is a metal old style vs. plastic 'LE' style as in the Koba, A1 sights in the plain C8 version, and I'm not sure that RIS is correct.

Just a quick thought Tanio Koba is based in Japan or HK? IF Japan how are his guns metal?

The C8 can have a metal receiver 'cause it's not a handgun. Quite a few Japan manufacturers make long arms with metal receivers. Marushin, Tokyo Marui, Systema, Sun Project, Escort and Maruzen to name some.

Tanio Koba is Japanese and the slides on his pistols are plastic just like others.

If you think of bringing up the KSC full metal models, they are made in Taiwan for export so it doesn't apply.

The grip is a bit curvy on the old one.. If you watch on www.diemaco.com you would notice that they don`t have the curvy pistol grip anymore but the normal M4.

The Norwegian special forces got the SFW one and that got 16" heavy barrel and markings for the diemaco.. but it is really nothing more that is different from a standard M4. The old style LE stock is something diemaco use but I would not say that is a "rule" since you could put what ever stock you want on that stocktube.

If he had the proper markings on it and correct type of barrel, he could easily call it C8. The carry handle is always wrong on any C8 replica/airsoft. I have still not seen anyone else then my own Diemaco SFW that got the correct carry handle. Even the CAP gun I have seen that is claimed to be C8 just have the standard M4.
