creepingfear
Did the geographic number work OK in place of the chargable 0845 number?
Tinkerton
didn't try, to be honest. Cafemondo, if you can hold off the paypal claim until after the 26th so i can find out what they're going to do about it, that'd be great. apolagies for everything.
cafemondo
Thank you for doing the phoning up and for the information, I didnt have time on friday and was going to leave it until monday and see if it had arrived with a fresh week. I can wait a few more days until you know whats happening at your end.
Tinkerton
Update: According to Royal mail, delivery was attempted on the 26th, but accord to Cafemondo, delivery was NOT attempted, nor was a card left, nor has he had any gun shaped items come through the post. Still trying to resolve this.
Tinkerton
Update: According to royal mail, its been returned to sender. I'll believe it when i see it though. Full refund given. As far as I'm concerned this thread can be closed now. P.S. anyone want to buy a TM MP5K with stripped gears? sent via carrier pidgeon this time, may be more reliable! cafemondo
And refund received allthough its yet to clear. Im now waiting for a paypal specialist to complete and finalise the dispute, odd as the refund I gave this morning to a fellow member cleared immediately. Many thanks for hitting the refund button. As soon as the refund finalises then Ill give confirmation that this sale is finished.
Tinkerton
Hello 4th today and still funds havent cleared, have you got enough money in your account to cover this or whats happening and why this is still fubar? Im getting *fruitcage* nothing from the paypal goons but a similar lack of ignoring messages and emails. Cafemondo sent by cafemondo I'm not ignoring you. As i've said before, there wasnt enough money in my paypal account, so it's probably having to come from my bank account. sent by myself and is there any money in there? waiting no longer than a week and then its ccj time your full name and address please, which I thought was a arnies forum requirement for sellers to give on initial contact anyway, and if not then why not? sent by cafemondo. Am i the only one sensing unneccesary allegations and hostility here?
cafemondo
sent by cafemondo sent by myself sent by cafemondo. Am i the only one sensing unneccesary allegations and hostility here? Well Ive stopped using Hello and yours at the end of my communications so that makes it look a little less friendly and nice. However 30 days on and no gun or pennies is making me a bit tetchy. No, i wont be giving you my full name and address while you're threatening me with a CCJ. Paypal DOES sometimes take longer than a week to transfer funds, which would only make you look silly if you did take me to court as it could clear the next day. As for my contact details, i'd forgotten, and as you never asked, so had you. Ill ask you now in public. Pretty please with sugar on top Mr.Tinkerbell, could you send me your address details and real name via pm, Id be ever so gratefull and youd have my many many thanks. Tinkerton
However 30 days on and no gun or pennies at least 15 of which were due to royal mail losing my parcel, which is not my fault. Shall we take this back to the public bit? Arnies news editors screwing over their own forum rules & members sounds a good news heading to me. Im having to threaten you with a ccj because money Ive sent to you for items bought have not been forthcoming, and money is now being witheld you are now witholding information required to complete a legal transaction. DONT tell me about paypal, youre a kid in terms of my paypal using experience. So if youre not giving me your address Ill have to post this up in the public bit so another member or mod will give me it or force you to give me it. MY being a news editor has no bearing on this whatsoever. all it means is that i'm willing to help out and post relevant news on the front page if and when i should happen accross anything. I dont have mystical powers, I dont have a higher 'status' on the forum becuase of it, and i'm not really any different to what i was BEFORE i became a news editor. Money is not being witheld by myself. if it IS being witheld, it is being done so by paypal. you've said yourself that it's come accross on your end, its just waiting to clear. I'm 'witholding' my personal address becuase i'm genuinely a bit worried about what would happen if i DID give it to you. If you get this aggravated over a bad trade, what are you going to do when you know where i live? I'd rather not take that risk. besides, we BOTH forgot to ask when we entered into this sale agreement.
joeking27
There is no excuse for being rude or sarcastic cafemondo, so please be a little more polite. It can actually be a great help in situations like this. However, Tinkerbell should find out from paypal what is happing with the refund. Regarding addresses, both of you should have swapped full contact details before sending any money, you only have yourselves to blame so please stop taking it out on each other. cafemondo
I did exchange address, its standard safe practice as a buyer and seller. How else did he send me my parcel if it was actually sent? First thing my buyers get from me with my paypal address. He turns a strange phrase, BOTH forgot indeed! I can see now why he didnt send me his address. Who wants it? consider this sale dead and chalked up as a bad experience. Thank you for the lesson on manners and pleasantries joeking, I think my excuse is 30 days of no gun and no pennies just rudeness, lack of information and being ignored. Excuse me if my patience is running thin.
Tinkerton
I'd like to see proof that i DIDN'T send a parcel for once, to be honest, instead of you keeping on trying to imply that i didnt. Also, if you're paypal experience would 'make me look like a kid' then you'd know that funds being transferred from a bank account DO TAKE SOME TIME, anybody thats dealt with paypal before should know that. I apolagise that it has taken so long, and understand that things still aren't resolved, but i regretfully inform you that i cannot control royal mail OR paypal, and so some of the 30 days you keep mentioning i had no control over, nor did you. If you are going to 'chalk this up as a bad experience' then what am i to do? at this current moment in time, I am missing an MP5K, batteyr and hicap, and down £55. at least you have some garuntee that the paypal refund will go through and you will be back to where you started before you agreed to buy it from me. cafemondo
Yes I know all about paypal, as soon as you knew that this sale was fubar you should have transferred cash from your main bank account (if there is any) over to paypal for this possible eventuality. So you had some control there didnt you. Other sellers take note of this one, dont spend until theyve received and are happy, its only a few days wait. then what am i to do 1 Stop being rude and shirty with your buyers. 2 Dont ignore people and answer all of their questions. 3 Learn from this sale. Ive learnt plenty. 4 Youre no retailer, dont sell anything again. 5 Boohoo for you down with your toy gun Im down a real £55 for over a month. If this is the aftercare your customers get then I guess the parcel went missing after you wrote my name and address in a crayon of faeces. Address? Parental problems perhaps? Tinkerton
I'm highly tempted to cancel the refund and meet you in court, to be perfectly honest. Yes, i'll admit that i could've handled the start of this sale better, but you could be handling the ending of it so much better. It is not for you to imply that there is no money in my bank account, afterall, it doesnt have anything to do with you. Paypal doesnt let you attach a non-debit or credit card account to it, and nearly all debit/credit cards have an overdraft, so it wouldn't matter anyway if there wasn't any money in my account (which there is, for your information). I stopped being 'rude and shirty' with you a long time ago now, in fact as soon as the sale started to go bad due to RM. I stopped 'ignoring' you a much longer time ago, and have been answering all of your reasonable questions. I have learnt from this sale. What have you learnt? it will be interesting to compare. I'm not a retailer, no. if you expected retailer service, then you should have gone to a retailer. not a hard, nor ilogical path to follow, wouldn't you agree? You have no right to tell me what i can, can't, should, or shouldn't do. I've dealt with many people before and they've all been happy, although a few of them did note the 'unique' smell of my 'faeces crayon'. Address? Parental problems perhaps? What do you mean by this? please write in full and correct sentances so i can better understand your needs. Tink
joeking27
Put the handbags down ladies. Seeing as you can't keep it civil, please only post if you have an actual update about where the package is, or what paypal are doing with the refund. There is no excuse to rude and insulting. I'm going to say well done to tinkerbell for not giving as good as he is getting. Cafemondo: There is no excuse for your behaviour here, it stops now. You have received warning points because you didn't heed my warning yesterday. If you carry on, you will be suspended for a week.
