Vamp V^^V
I've just had an argument with somebody who stated emphatically that Tokyo Marui have not produced any metal guns for 5 years, and that they don't now, either. And I was certain that the Type 89 was metal bodied
Stealthbomber
Thompson is metal.
Vamp V^^V
Ahh yes, I didn't think to bring that into the argument. lol
Azulsky
m14 is metal
the_viral_phantom
I was under the impression the Thompson has a plastic lower receiver, if not them CYMA changed the design, but im sure th TM one i handled had a ABS lower. Viral.
screamin_weasel
im pretty sure the thompson has a plastic reciever section - i've got one upstairs, but i cant be arsed to check. and tbh, so much of the m14 is the stock, i wouldnt class it as a metal gun, although it does have metal parts wher they should be. but yeah, the type 89 is. isn't the new Ak aswell ? Gliderrider
My TM Thompson has pretty much all metal exept the furniture, but they should be wood anyway.
Vamp V^^V
Lol, so we have established a good base for my argument that TM do in fact produce metal guns. (and thanks Rhino, sorry for my bad thread title >.< )
sturgis
iirc from the TM thompson my mate and i changed into a CAW M1928, the TM had a metal lower and plastick upper, i disticntly remember the M1928 upper with TM lower made his gun "full metal/wood"
Pablo
If the upper was plastic, surely it'd snap in half?
amateurstuntman
The AUG is kind of all metal in the sense that all the bits that are metal on the RS are metal on the AS but then its not in the sense that it is a bug chunk of plastic.
Stealthbomber
To clarify, the lower receiver is plastic on the Thompson. The upper and outer barrel are metal. FWIW, the amount of the Thompson that's plastic is about the size of a glock pistol frame. The vast majority of it is metal. It's true that recent TM guns are also metal, and possibly more realistically so, but the M1a1 (and the AUG) give lie to the idea that TM have only made plastic guns until recently. Blade3000
Type 89 has a beautiful metal body!!! IMO better quality than a CA and possibly G&P Thanks glock21

That was pretty much my argument, but alas, it was to no avail. No one believed me, lol.
Pinkfloyd
Their G36 if full metal.... because the real gun is made of polymer, and thus the parts that are metal on the real gun (internal bits and barrel assembly) are full metal.

Sale
The charging handle is plastic. (I think...) The flipper lever is supposed to be plastic, but the part it attaches to (bolt carrier) should be metal. So the G36C is not quite there. The M1A1 has a plastic lower receiver, so it's not a full metal gun either. The AUG, M14, Type89 and AKM74 on the other hand are full metal (=everything that should be metal is metal) AEGs, and the VSR-10 is an all metal rifle. -Sale
Edmiles
The M4A1 RIS is practically full metal if you stick a metal reciever on it.
Skarclaw
As would be expected...
thewallhitme
The M4A1 RIS is practically full metal if you stick a metal reciever on it. i think if we start bringing the "but if" statement in, this argument breaks down.
