CapaciousZepher
Zepher - I *LOVE* that taclight mounted on your scope with an upside-down scope ring!. Genius. Not too sure about the black-taped presure switch though, but if it works.... What kind of rail option are you thinking of using? It actually a dedicated unit that holds a laser and taclight. I've got no idea who makes it, as I got it in a trade. It works fantastically though, and looks pretty cool, if I do say so myself The black tape is just until a get a bit of velcro for the pressure switch. As far as rails, me and Landonator are going to do something similar to what Tbone67 did with the railed M4 gas block. I think Landonator is going to use a quad rail madbull one, whereas I might for a model with just one rail (for the bipod), seeing as I already have my laser and taclight sorted. Cheers! - CapaciousZepher
The Landonator
Quad rail FTW!! I'm going to see if I can leave the gas block on though.
Hedganian
Will look forward to seeing how those turn out.
sekiryu
Hmm, OD Pmags on an OD AUG would look pretty awesome. No need to stoop to his level, he's just going to beat you with experience. Experience of handling the real AUG? Oh, wait, I don't think he has.
SgtBojangles
I never thought I'd see the day, but I am now an owner of an AUG Civi. My Dad meant to buy a P90 for himself but somehow, someway ended up with an AUG. He even ordered an extra magazine for the P90... I have three standard magazines coming in the mail. Only thing is, is it's in my home town and I'm off at college. Good thing I'm going home this weekend Experience of handling the real AUG? Oh, wait, I don't think he has. Do you know this for sure? You might be surprised...
heroshark
always wanted one ,and I've got a phantom kit at last
sekiryu
Do you know this for sure? You might be surprised... No, but I am 100% sure that I have handled a real one. Unfortunately didn't get to fire it [sadface]
Treadhead
Good work Heroshark - even if you do seem to have a serious case of barrel envy!! What's the scope up there? That'd look sweet on top of my lasgun...
Clive`
hello guys...this is my first time in Arines airsoft ... anyway..i just want to share my AUG-a3
amateurstuntman
Don't call it an A3 too loudly, Hed' will get upset. Welcome friend, I hope you enjoy your time here.
Hedganian
Heroshark - what did you do to the pistolgrip to get those finger ridges? Clive - Great first post on the forum. Welcome. Stunt - Me? Get upset? Most things on the forum aren't that important, mate. Although I tend to refer to mine as the A3esque, as it reminiscent of the A3, but not quite there. Personally, I think it looks better. The real steel A3 is fugly, Steyr really spoilt the AUG with the A3 version.
Treadhead
Finger grips look like a healthy application of bodge tape over a former to me... great idea that, I didn't even notice it at first...
my_plague_666
another option might be to get one of those rubber grip sleeves, cut it down the back and stick it around the AUG grip.
Shriven
A friend has done that with his L85.. mucho comfortablo! I need to get me some nuts to bolt a bit o' RIS rail on my AUG...
heroshark
Good work Heroshark - even if you do seem to have a serious case of barrel envy!! What's the scope up there? That'd look sweet on top of my lasgun... had an issue with the inner barrel hitting the end cap ,and the link between the silencer peices held it streight .I've made a peice to sort it out now ,so its shorter now .The scope is a tasco, £25 ebay special Heroshark - what did you do to the pistolgrip to get those finger ridges? I had an old kwc python grip I cut down and taped on. I've also done it with small lengths of thick wire on my h&k. It makes it alot nicer to hold imo. I'll have a mini madbull m203 on it soon Edited February 24, 2009 by heroshark
sekiryu
Apparently CA barrels are ######. Mine was hooking rounds to the right. Put in a TM barrel and now it shoots straight. Where can I get an AUG birdcage flash hider? Evike doesn't have them any more. Edited February 24, 2009 by sekiryu
Hedganian
Okay, how about these weird offerings, from WGC in Hong Kong? CQB Sniping God knows! Couldn't get the images to work, so just links, sorry
aznriptide859
Sorry, but that last one is just ugly lol - can't mix rail with A1, sorry. The other two look alright
sekiryu
Anything other than an original A1 with fixed optic is a desecration IMO.
MinisterofDeath
Still not one company has made a faithful Airsoft version of the AUG A3 it's all bastardized versions of it.
aznriptide859
For the Sniping one I read off eHobby they're retailed as a (really bad) M82/M95 copy.
sekiryu
Still not one company has made a faithful Airsoft version of the AUG A3 it's all bastardized versions of it. No one's made a proper version of the A2 either.
leon_london
Sorry to post off topic in here guys, but does anyone know if its still possible to get the KA Phantom Aug kits? (King Arms where the better ones right?) I've looked everywhere but have had no luck yet
