Since I have owned too many AEGs, I'll have to post a picture of them all, one by one...

It is TM AUG, the musicians choice. The vertical handle makes a nice "twang" and a "tshih" sound, hicap makes the rattle and also I can pull back and release the cocking handle just for a little more "twang" and rattle. I won't be bored in the bush while camping with this one, but the concealment will suffer. Nah the music is better ;)

It's the Tokyo Marui Version 3 gearbox and motor. It sounds exactly the same as it does in every other TM AEG that uses it. It sounds louder to the user, since it's closer to the ear. To others, it sounds much the same.

There is space inside the body of the AUG which can allow foam padding to be inserted to muffle the noise, apparently.

Unless you're asking about the CA AUG, in which case I don't know since I've never used it. I assume it's similar.

The flash hider also makes the noice louder, as the sound softens quite a bit without flash hider. So in AUG silencers are not just for show off. TM AUG really is a bit louder than other AEGs. Or at least mine is when compared to all my friends AEGs, even when compared to my friends TM m120 colt mix-thingie.

I got the family together for a group photo, sad to say that just after this photo was taken I blew a piston on a speed run on my main body and the frag in the g-box ate my sector and middle gears.

thankfully due to modularity I still have two working bodies to build AEGs on.

Wow! Nice augs, stunt! I wish I had all those barrel assemblies. I love the aug's modularity.

You know, if you put one of those fuzzy pipecleaners in the offending springs, it completely dampens the "twang" noise. It may not be as musical, but it sounds less.... Cheap? And does not seem to affect the performance of the gun.

Evike has the birdcage flashhider?! *creams*

My JGSDF loadout can wait, I'm getting a CA AUG and that flashhider.

....it will fit, right? I can't remember if CA has CCW or CW threads....

All you need for a proper A3 is a new receiver. Just stick that on a standard TM or CA stock and you should be good.

Made it look better.

:P

Nice mod actually.

make the paint match, you got one helluva sexy gun.

Bad pic, but the angled bits are brushed aluminum. It made the gun hella stiff, no creaks. Mag changes took a while to master though.

Well I finally got my carbine barrel from Evike, but to my dismay (after a rather large hassle with shipping) the barrel was actually a full legnth one. So now im waiting for a correct one.

Worse news for me is that the metal on the top of the front grip flat out broke. On the brightside it gives me a reason to by that RIS for it and throw a torch/solid grip on it.

Had some requests for more/better pics. Well......I can do the "more".

I really like the RIS. It needed some bracing though. I put a longer screw through the rail with a spacer into upper reciever. No more quick barrel removal here.

That square bit behind the cocking handle serves no purpose. Oh, and the top rail is off of my P90.

Flip sights down

You can see the bolts in the magwell, they don't interfere at all.

Same thing happened to my TM AUG. That's why I'm going to sell it and get a CA. I like the A1 model with 1.5x scope better anyway.

You guys mean the grip pin broke? Guarder makes a steel replacement for only $15.

Guarder AUG Grip Pin

Just a bit cheaper than taking a hit on a resale and getting a new gun or buying a RIS, if that's all that's wrong.

No. Just no.

I also had a problem with Evike shipping the wrong part for the A2 'birdcage' style flash excluder I ordered. An A1 style excluder turned up. They let me keep it and sent the correct one out as soon as I told them. I rate their service as good, but the mistake and the trouble with payment (their site didn't include a PayPal option on checkout, but they emailled me saying they couldn't process my card due to being outside the USA, and wanted payment by PayPal) prevent it being better.

Got the 'police carbine' barrel up now. Project AUG now comprises all 5.56mm barrel options, with A1 optical sights and A2 Special Receiver. Pictures to follow.
