Hedganian
The real steel AUG has a conversion kit for the NATO standard mags (although these are a lot less standard than was intended). Personally, I think it would be better to convert the SA80/M16 and/or M4 to use the AUG mags, since they're better, but that's another story. Why did you remove the foregrip? Are you planning to replace it with something? Oh, and just a tip - I'd avoid lean your expensive rifle with its expensive sight up against walls like that if I were you. When it falls down, you've got a lot of repair work to do...
Onechance
Try to find the link about converting UZI mags to fit the AUG, somewhere on this topic (i looked but no luck) If you can do it to an UZI, i bet its possible with a m16 mag since the magwell's would be more or less the same dimensions. El_Greco
Why did you remove the foregrip? Are you planning to replace it with something? My foregrip pin broke actually and it got tossed out before I had a chance to go and buy a steel pin for it, so at the moment I don't have one (Anyone got a spare one with all the pieces?) And for the mags, I've realized I may need to get some plasticard and mold it into keeping the stanag mag straight down, otherwise it interferes with the fire selection. I'm not really sure if I want to finish the modification, as this was just a little fiddle to see how it would look/work. I like the look of the AUG mags better anyways. When it falls down, you've got a lot of repair work to do... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I hope you're kidding. I've dropped my AUG barrel down on concrete with harly even a scratch. I wouldn't be worried about leaning it up against anything, even a moving vehicle.

TerranCmdr
I would hope that ACOG is strong enough to take a 1-foot fall onto carpet.
Hedganian
And I would hope that people would respect their equipment enough to not risk damaging it by being stupid. More to the point, a weapon falling down could discharge, this is not a good thing.
TerranCmdr
True. I would hope people don't take pictures of their weapons fully loaded though. That said, an AUG leaning up against a wall is quite stable, since they are back heavy guns and the buttstock has a pretty big footprint.
enigma102
Hey guys what suppressor/silencer do you think would look good on an aug, something not to expensive but still nice.
amateurstuntman
I like the King Arms ops 320mm it is for the M4 but it looks good on the AUG. it wraps around the barrel and comes back from the muzzle. KA-SL-21 on wgc Stunt

TerranCmdr
Must have been. That's a beautiful rifle though. To enigma: The Classic Army double screw looks pretty nice on my AUG - it's kinda long and slender. It's only like $35 too. Hedganian
Dude, what's the deal with the two scopes? And why make a 20 round magazine? As far as I'm aware Steyr don't make 20 round mags for the AUG (although they might, I suppose) Still, lovely rifle, so +1 to you.

As far as I'm aware Steyr don't make 20 round mags for the AUG (although they might, I suppose) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They do make 20 rds mag. It is shorter and it is good for firing from the prone position. And it is custom made (and 20 rds is ok with me, since we use in the game the same amount of ammo as real steel +-5 rds) First scope is Holosight (like red dot scope) with NV capability and the second one is night vision... Hedganian
You've got real, working Night vision? Man, you've got too much money... How did you make that short mag, then? I've been looking to make up some long mags (42-rounders) - could the same technique apply?
Hedganian
Maximus - How did you find the RAS kit? Any problems with the scope rail? Also, did you fit it yourself or was it supplied already fitted?
Harry
Yes, the bigger mag can be made, but You need two regular mags for one longer...
Hedganian
Could you perhaps write up a How-TO guide, with pictures and post it up on Arnies somewhere? I'd sure like to see that.
