ARadam6696
I doubt hes playing cqb with it...from far away 550 isnt bad. A 420fps CBQ configuration is odd though.
CapaciousZepher
550FPS is usually the US sniper limit. Sometimes that includes semi auto AEG's as well, with a MED. Such is probably the case where he plays. Â Cheers! Â - CapaciousZepher
Optomis
Why would you need a gun that shoots 550 FPS? Wouldn't it basically be illegal to use, anywhere? Are you just trying to hurt people? =o Hardly so! Have you played with high-FPS rifle's before? They really are not as "Killer" as everyone proclaims them as to be. A round was accidently discharged from the gun while a friend was handling it and realized the trigger was a double action and that if he clicked it half way it wouldn't shoot (The semi auto replaces the fully auto on the trigger setup I have) so he pulled it the full way thinking a round was not chambered and that it would not shoot at all..... Needless to say that it shot my other buddy in the leg from a good 10 feet away. It left a nasty little bruise and it broke the skin and made him trickle a bit of blood but that was the extent of the injury. Used properly (with proper MED's- 100 feet atleast for a DMR or sniper rifle, a user who knows the rifle and what it is capable of) a high FPS rifle at 150 or 200 feet is less harmful then a 300 FPS AEG at 30 feet. It is not illegal to play with it where I use it, Badkarma airsoft. The chrono limit is just about 550 FPS with a .2 for DMR's and sniper rifles. Mine classifies as a DMR due to it's only semi automatic trigger and it's high FPS and barrel length. Â The "CQB" setup was just named that due to it's shorter barrel length and accesories. I actually used that for woodland only, I do not have a local CQB place here in Nashville Tennessee.
aznconverter
Nice job Optomis. That's the first AUG ive seen that actually caught my eye.

The_AUGfather
Here's baby: Â Â Yeap, that's a custom M4/AR-mag conversion. All done by hand and took forever! I'll field it at an Op next weekend. Feels very solid. (paint is a primer-coat) Â Â Endgoal: Still have to overhaul the RIS/Receiver and barrel, I'll post updates later. Hedganian
Better pics! Â Why does your "endgoal" pic have the A3 top rail but not the side rails?
The_AUGfather
Better pics! Why does your "endgoal" pic have the A3 top rail but not the side rails?  It's a custom, not a replica.
beretta
I built this one a few months ago, never got round to using it properly yet though, it uses STANAG magazines, i prefer to use VN mags but Ive tried OD PMAGS in it too, looks cool. Â
AnotherJesus
The SPR flash hider looks very nice on that. Good work on the magwell conversions, to both parties. Any feeding issues?
beretta
Cheers, Â I haven't had any problems myself, the gearbox is also upgraded and even with the high ROF it still feeds fine. The best thing about it is its easily reverted to its original magwell, you have to slide out the gearbox but its still pretty easy and only takes a minute.
Hedganian
It's a custom, not a replica. Â Which doesn't answer the question as to why you'd remove rails, since most people are adding the damn sticklebricks to anything that stands still long enough...
Connery
Because he wants his gun to be unique as opposed to 'the same thing everyone else has', I'd figure. Hence why it's a custom, not a replica.

I'm very interested at this magwell conversion!
Isamu
Yes, im quite interested on that magwell conversion too, Beretta. Â Thank you very much

micropop
damn hedganian give the guy a break, it's a cool custom!
Hedganian
He's obviously a man of taste then! Â Oh, indeed. The AUG A3 is fugly as hell. But obviously the ability to answer a simple question is a bit of a struggle.
Treadhead
Oh shush grouchy one... He's doing it cos he wants to, the best reason for doing anything! Â You mag progresses apace btw...
Connery
It's a custom, not a replica. Â Sounds like an answer to me, Hedge.
micropop
let people do what they want, it is their gun. Â nice mag conversion by the way

trevdor
Hey guys, I made a mockup in Photoshop of the gun I'm thinking about making. The first picture is the basic version. A JG Aug A3 with silencer, red dot, and folding grip. Â This is another option if I wanted to add a bipod to it: Â I would also eventually like to add a light and laser but I'm not sure where. I don't know if I want it on a side rail and don't know if it would fit on the bottom rail with the grip. This is one option to fix that: Â Any thoughts?
Isamu
Dont like front grips, but thats just a personal opinion. maybe replacing the dot for a eotech like reddot would give it a more "Blaster feeling". Try removing the silencer, but keep the bipod. Â long story short: JG AUG A3 + eotech + bipod= BLASTERS FTW!!!
