Very nice Krame! Your SVI really shows how good a gun can look without spending thousands of dollars.

Edgecollector - I know your guns. Your IMM is my favorite gun. You can sell it to me, for half the price you paid, anytime :)

RM- there are a few CNC shops in HK some do more mass production than others.

Some do more custom work.

Prime is actually one of the main manufacturers. http://www.prime-airsoft.com/aboutus.html

MMC is another.

TM HiCapa 5.1 Base

WE Silver Magwell

WE Outer Barrel

WE Metal Recoil Guide

Guarder 150% Hammer Spring

Guarder 150% Recoil Spring

Davidson Custom OPS MRP CNC'ed Silver Slide

All I need is a silver trigger and (maybe) a 9Ball Strike front. Amazing this whole gun cost me less than $250.

The lower is beadblasted by junior (can't thank him enough). Here's a comparison picture - lower (right) was beadblasted, slide (left) is real CNC aluminum.

You can't use TM parts on it, and you probably can't use newer KSC stuff on it neither, since their newest 2011s have been updated with system 7 as well. The KSC 2011 is more popular in asia than they are here....and even then they aren't as well supported as WA or TM....though I am sure there are parts for them in Japanese domestic market, outside they might be hard to find...

lol, Thanks.

Looks good man. Judging by the way it looks it appears that the Davidson slides are bead blasted as well, then the sides are polished. Thats why in that last pic, the slide and frame match up so well.

Nice looking Hi-Capa. Cant beat that for less then $250 ;)

nice gun racing maniac..

i have a question,

how do you lined up the lines on the slide & lower frame ?

cause my AS slide& frame is a bit misaligned..

did you do any mods to the slide ?

I found there was a difference in hop-up chamber designed between the older model of Hi-capa and newer ones...

3330056d.jpg

Since recently I got a new Hi-Capa as a project gun I compared them. The new one has a little nubby thing that the old one doesn't and there is a similar feature on the 1911 chamber as well. I am guessing this changes the relative position of how the outer barrel sits relative to the hop-up and in terms changes the full forward position of the slide. I noticed on the old hop-up chamber the slide will site ~1-2 mm further forward. Where as on the new one it would sit normally as it should. I swapped the chamber between the 2 since the new gun I am building won't have that kind of physical feature and thus wouldn't matter visually. They both function normally...

is it the nub near the inner barrel ?

my chamber does not have one..

does it mean mine is the older version ?

I am going to guess yes. I suppose one can try to verify if this is the difference if you make some sort of spacer and slide over the inner barrel and fix it with some tape.
