Â the gas parts need spraying matt black but apart from that it's looking good. it's the easiest mod yet. take one TM AK47 gas part and one guarder slanted mussle break and hey presto you have an AKM. What I plan to do is get all the parts necessary from a parts kit, then find a hydraulic press to remove all the stuff off the barrel. Â From what I see, if I wish to use the real gas block, I will need to use the real gas tube. That should take care of the upper handguard. Â The lower, I'm thinking about cutting a groove into the top of the TM barrel so the real steel retainer can lock into it. Â Onechance: No, you don't. Some places like combatdepot sell Guarder grips, and King Arms packages them with some of their stocksets. Â Â I also finally bought a VFC AKS74U, plans are to use real steel handguards, and if possible a rolled edge stock. Link to post Share on other sites
