I like those 18 rounders! There's no big spread, but they have a straight range for about 15 metres. It's not a heavy blast ( not too much power ) so it's ideal for some CQB.

No, idea if the gp25 takes 40 mm nades. I will test it this weekend on a skirmish and let you know!

Cheers all,

TM Beita Spetsnaz, CAW Wood Kit, Guarder Cylinder Enhancement Set (Stainless Cylinder Head, Air Seal Nozzle, Aluminum Ventilation Piston Head, Chromium Plated Cylinder, Polycarbonate Piston), Systema M10* spring, Systema Metal spring guide (with ball bearings), (Systema) Area 1000 Metal Bushings, KM Titanium Tightbore barrel, 3 STAR (AK74 style) 160 rd midcaps.

Not technically an AK74U, but I like it. I'll be investing in an east german side-folder here shortly.

Solution, I just got the G&P kit a couple weeks ago. The wood is very nice, and the metals got a good finish on it, though it took some filing to get get everything to fit together nicely, but it works now.

Oddly enough, the thing I needed to file down the most ended up being the hop up chamber. If I screwed the hop chamber to the metal trunion the trunion was shoved out a ways, I ended up having to file down a bunch and leave the barrel/hop loose inside (loose as in not screwed into anything, though it's still quite secure)

All of that may just be the fact that I was using it on a Beta though, not sure if it would fit better off the bat with a regular AK.

Thanks a bunch! That wood looks very nice.

I figured it would take some filing. You had to file the hop-up chamber? Wow.

How long is the barrel in your AK? I know the full-size foregrip would make the outer barrel a tad longer. Are the outer and inner barrels from a fullsize AK? I would think a Spetz inner/outer barrel would be too short.

Well, I shall buy one now and give 'er a go. Thanks again for the pics.

nope, the guy before me had installed a tightbore (not sure the exact length) but it came just to the tightest part of the flashhider. Since I'm still using the Spetz front end, the grips don't add that much length, and now the barrel comes just to the end of the barrel without the flashider on. Hope that makes sense, It's late and I"m tired, so I appologize.\

I kept the same Beta outer barrel too, it's a cool trick some people at Airsoftplayers helped me with, basically you just losen all the screws on the trunion, and you can just slide the beta outer barrel forward, and then retighten everything. If you're anal you can drill a new hole for the side hole deely, but I didn't bother as everything stayed aligned pretty well.

Here is my AK47. It's completely stock for now but i hope to turn it into something that looks like Zastava M76 some day. :D I just got that mount and i love it. Also there is a pic with a Yugoslavian bayonet for Zastava M70. It's not attached to the rifle because there is no mounting point. I swapped this replica for TM M4A1 and i must say i'm very glad i did it. B)

Cheers!

If you made an M76, you'd the the second person that I know of to make an Airsoft version.

Nice! Any links? If it's the Swedish guy then i've already seen it. Do you know which outer barrel did he use and also where did he get the small mag? I was thinking of putting a Beta hi-cap in it, but i hate hi-caps because they rattle to much. TIA!

Pozdrav! Zune ;)

My original Ak after first mods. I dont like the full sized ak but the spetz is to small. So i created this.

Then i get tired of the ruggedness of an ak and made this "special forces" esque ak

Its that same AK as pictured above with even more mods. After this mod it became prolly one of the nicest ak's out there. Shot like a dream with slightly longer tightbore then spetz. It also just felt right...

My second and final Ak with massive mods RS wood furniture... RS AK site... and internal upgrades i shant mention. Thing was picky with all the mods on it. I got rid of it eventualy thing was more a novelty then a nice gun. prolly the hardest ak ever to build.
