Robot 2000
My VFC is 060200. . . which means it's a standard version with no unique serial number
jonboy2312
Some new stuff came for my RK-103. +1 to whomever can point out what it is (specifically) that's different about the gun, aside from the sling. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Umm... tritium sights? Just guessing here, really... I'm in too much hurry to look at the older photos now
Jagdraben
I dunno if they're tritium, but they do glow in the dark. +1 East German night sights. Close enough. Make the thing a lot easier to aim, even in daylight, at least around the house.

I've ordered just about the same thing (Polish variation), that's why it was easy for me to spot it. Anyway, if they don't need to be "charged up" with a flashlight or a similar light source, then they're tritium sights - they're a little bit radioactive (nothing too dangerous, hopefully) and they go on for years and years. Jagdraben
So it's probably not a good idea to sleep with one of the sights near my head, then?
Lithium Jack
Tritium radiation can't penetrate human skin. You should be fine
Ye old Canadian
what if you like cut yourself in the head then stuck one of the sights in the cut and went to sleep. Would that be bad?
ad400317
Weird... ^^^
Lithium Jack
lol dude:P Without derailing the thread too much, you'd actually have to take the tritium out of the sights and eat it, or rub it into your bloodstream to have it take any effect. Remember that they don't just stick a blob of tritium onto the sights, it's kept in little glass container. Edited August 5, 2006 by Lithium Jack
Nodbugger
Well technically everything is radioactive. Just in varying degrees.

Rob15
Just a quick one for cyma AK owners, does it have a threaded barrel to mount a silencer on to?
Jagdraben
Note to self: Remember to use emotes when joking.
Lithium Jack
I sort of picked up on that, I didn't really mean to heat up a "Are my tritium sights going to kill me" On a similar vein, could you post some pics of the sights themselves? I'm quite interested to see what they look like.
phoenixkskg
Just a quick one for cyma AK owners, does it have a threaded barrel to mount a silencer on to? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Im not gonna tell you because I dont want to see a silencer mounted on an AK. But seriously, I dont own one, but I think they do have the threads. Please dont rape it though.
Rob15
If i get a Ak i WILL put a silencer on it no matter what you say. 'my gun, i can do whatever i want with it'

Rob15
Have fun with that EDIT : And i will never buy a PBS silencer, i plan on putting a small TM one on Edited August 5, 2006 by Rob15

The rear night sight simply clamps itself to the rear sight.
Lanesracra
Wow, that could mean that if I find something like that I'm one step closer to an RK95.

Jagdraben
It's kinda difficult to fit the rear sight on. You have to really wrestle with it. But it can be flipped down once mounted. The front sight can be moved out of the way, too.
Slash'
just a pic i took without it fully kitted out, to show someone. its an ak47, and its a picture, it fits in this thread EDIT: HOLY SHIZA that pic was bigger than i thought! And any people who think RIS is a disgrace to ak47, why do people get beta spetsnaz's? Edited August 6, 2006 by Slash'
