yet i have clearly copied that reference pic of the owner of mayflower tactical nylon, guess army sf are getting it wrong also.

the pattern doesn't work any better than us woodland through gen3 so its kind of void for its original intended use, i just like the pattern.

I wasn't being sarcastic. I read your post, I saw the reference material. I was saying that I thought what you did was a good idea, I like it.

They are sized pretty big as is. I fit into a medium and I normally wear a XL or L top.

Can't comment on how they work under NODs but they do make excellent tops for night time.

Knifekits.com has a lot of good information on making sheaths and holsters from kydex, you can make a forming press for under $20 just make sure your weapon won't melt.

I think a related question:

Polar fleece can be painted by using spray cans, and masking??? I don't want to paint camo, just black/white label+graphic on my dark earth polar...

All the ones I needed actually came supplied on the Emdom sling, didn't need to buy any extra components.

If you need them for another job though, the mil-spec monkey store carry them pretty cheaply, just look for "ITW 1" Oval slides".

Quick question for those of you who have made open top magazine pouches or who have added retention straps to LBT 6094's and the like... Where exactly would I find the bungee material? I'm planning on making a custom low vis rig for my hugger vest and wanted it to look as legitimate as possible.

Try rockywoods.com. Rather high prices but good selection and they sell by the yard, you don't have to buy full rolls. And they're nice folks!

I recommend them for guys who are just starting to sew, and GSI for the "advanced" gearmakers who can justify to buy full rolls.
