I'm not a photographer or anything, i just went on the fact people had posted some of their in game pictures that captured the moment... Art is something entirely relative to someone's view of it; To me, some ugly bird's tent full of people she's slept with's names isn't art - Plenty of people think it is. Wether or not the photos i've posted are 'artistic' is entirely debatable - None of them were photoshopped or edited or anything. I'd argue the first 2 pictures show me entirely focusing on a target, and the blurred and out of focus background is a good metaphor for my lack of awareness of the environment around me because of my concentration on what i'm doing... The pictures are both focused on me, like i'm entirely focused on what i'm shooting at - Like any form of art, that's just my perception of it and why i felt it justified to put in the 'artistic' thread. The 3rd one i'd argue that the bright streaks of sunlight that continue over me and onto the background blur my outline and make it less distinctive, like i'm trying to make myself less distinctive against the background.

That's all my opinion, and plenty of people might disagree with it - I just thought those particular photos were fairly artistic in my eyes, and so i decided to post them. Art is in perception of the beholder right?

Tanaka M629 Performance Center V-Comp with Excalibur Walnut Grips.

Just my first real attempt at thoughtful photography. I used a light box I crafted out of some foam-core poster board and lined it with some loosely draped velvet I bought from the local fabric shop. I'm using a Canon A590 P&S with an OTT Lite bulb in my desk lamp to provide the lighting.

Never thought I'd see an argument on "is it art?" on an airsoft forum. :)

That guy laying on the ground there looks an awful lot like me! He looks confused, like he doesn't know how he got there... maybe he is me!

Just to liven things up, here's some shots I took about 2 years ago.

Not to start a flamewar ( no, really.. ) but, what have you applied in photoshop, Wutang?

Other than that, nice paintjob, I allways wonder how you do those... a surgeons knife and paper?

Everyone, excuse my attitude here, I was mistaken.

I thought I was looking into the ' Photoshop and you ' picture thread
