Magsz
If Justin can custom fit these internals into other metal bodies this will definitely be very cool for those of us that actually like using gas rifles. I personally wouldnt want one of these simply because i dont like the quality of the metal on the dboyis guns. If i could take a VFC 416 or some of the better finished Guarder/G&P/King Arms receivers out there and have justin convert them i would be one heck of a happy customer. Korppi
I bet he can, but it must be easyer for him and cheaper for us that he makes them from dboyi as in bulk.

I agree, id happily pay a premium to receive a custom piece of work. Say for example, i send him a VFC body to be modified, he could just bill me for cost of materials and labor to modify my existing body to fit the escort internals.
Panzergraf
I wonder if Justin could make longer parts to fit into an SR25 receiver... -Sale Or even other guns than AR-15/10 series. I'd imagine a heavily modified MP5 engine could fit into both a G3 and a G36.
Azulsky
I'd imagine a heavily modified MP5 engine could fit into both a G3 and a G36. Ohhhh yeaaah, thats the good stuff right there
Panzergraf
I started thinking up some ideas after seeing Airsoft NY's escort RPD powerd by MP5 internals, and a G36 could be doable with an internal steel frame attached to the barrel and stock mount, this would again hold the blowback system etc. I don't have the knowledge, skill or tools to make this though, but I know my team mates and I could pay good money for something like that, as could probably many others. Catman
<== wants gbb RPK I'd have to get a bigger air tank
Kristoffer
For pure durability, I would like to have the internals installed in the Madbull CNC receiver sets that are on airsoft-news, or a madbull lower and Dytac Vltor upper. The dytac is made to fit G&P lowers, dboys lowers are G&P copies? So it should be possible.
happy.al
Picture Update, there will be a Video soon. Price is now fixed at US$850 and Justin is taking orders for the DBoy's version now. Justin says that he can use any metal bodies M4/16 you like, the price will of course change depending of what body is used. He can also do the mod on any existing M4/M16 you have, but will require the gun to be sent to HK to Justin for the mod to be done. Please PM me if you have any questions. Harvahammas
Recoil just looks....weak
my_plague_666
Recoil just looks....weak you'd probably still feel it a lot more than you would with an AEG. plus thats probably stock SP which IIRC doesnt have tonnes of kick until you start meddling with recoil weights and springs etc.
AustinWolv
In the vids, he's only running it at ~75psi. Most upgraded SPs are run in the 120-140psi range. Most stock SPs are run around 100-110psi.
Milith
Anybody know the safe PSI level for one of Justin's guns? Also, if he would be willing into modding recoil weights as well as other devices to increase the 'recoil'. Compressed air is as cheap as hell, and I wouldn't mind paying the 3$ for the thousands of shots i'd get from it.
juicymeat
Most upgraded SPs run 130-150 PSI, with a steel bolt you can take it up to 200, though it is unadvised.

There was no 'Justin guns' yet - this is the first one But Spare parts for SP made by Justin capable to run at 160PSI with no problem. This gun at 75PSI shot coke can thru 2 sides. Most stock SPs are run around 100-110psi. Escorts kick a lot harder at higher pressures, yeah. My reg once crept up to ~200psi (I was a noob and had poured oil in the output hole of my reg) and the kick of my Shoei was just brutal. At ~120 it's still substantial, but not quite enough to give me a brain damage 75psi is fairly low though, do normal SP's even cycle at that pressure? If not, then props to Justin for pulling that off.

Honestly never tried SPs that low. SPs probably do, but only will do FA since the bolt won't travel back far enough in semi-auto selector position to trip the cutoff lever. I had the question out to him how he was getting 350-370fps (via coke can test) on that kind of pressure, and he wasn't sure. Stated he wants to get another gauge to ensure that reading in the pic was correct. Needs to get a chrono too.
Inq Eisenhorn
Anymore news on this? Just thinking about a few other rifles that would be interesting as gas rifles....Dboys SCAR for example.
AustinWolv
daytonagun is building up a 416 right now as another trial gun. He wants to try to find any kinks in his project so as to not come across problems when people have already ordered. http://classicairsoft.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9965
happy.al
Justin has worked out all the quirks and now has a fully working model ready for sale, and just look at the specs, it’s very encouraging and at such a great price. Justin also reports that the blowback effect is on par with a Sun Projects rifle, which I know you don’t get the sense of that on the videos that have been posted. For full details from the man himself, check out this link here: http://www.classicairsoft.org/forum/viewto...=67&t=10018
Korppi
Damn I'm so close on sending my G&P XM to get a proper engine inside. Not long for a AKS-74U I hope. All four thumbs up for Justin, he's doing great work!
