airsoftfan89
i keep on trying to search for specific things in the search and it says no post found when i enter aeg or marui, what is wrong,i dunno why
Royal-Air-Force
The search functuion has a 3 character limit, basically searches for "AEG" "ICS" or "AUG" will not work. Although your "marui" search should work. Rich.
fathom1001
What you can try for three letter searches is "*AUG" or "*AEG", the "*" wildcard puts it past the three letter limit, but unfortunately it means you'll get some stuff you don't want.
Pablo
It's also case-sensitive, so if you try Marui you'll get a lot more hits. Even if AEG worked, you'd get waaaaaaay too many hits for it to be useful, as they're the main type of airsoft gun.
uscmCorps
I'm curious if there is a reason for the three character limit? I often find it frustrating searching for things with that limitation. Just wondering... p.s. I searched for an answer to this... to no avail
hatchet_warrior
I'm curious if there is a reason for the three character limit? I often find it frustrating searching for things with that limitation. Just wondering... p.s. I searched for an answer to this... to no avail It has to do with the indexing. If it can ignore all words that are 3 characters or less then the index files are a hell of a lot smaller. It also prevents searches like "what is the best AEG" and other noob searches that eat up bandwidth. It also kills the ability to search for a specific type of gun. Try to think of as many 4 character names for guns, they can be counted on two hands.

hatchet_warrior
sometimes adding a * to the beginning or end of your word will help. but other times you're up a creek.
