Got two new guns to add to the collection :)

First up is a custom, with the help of Boomarms. Basics: Magpul body, Magpul PTS stock and grip, King Arms Casv (dog drool on buffer tube).

I wish there was some kind of a PMAG chassis into which you could just drop the guts of a G&P or TM magazine.

I tried to take the internals out of my Pmag highcap, with no luck. I was curious to see if I could swap. Just have to hope the Magpuls feed well.

Where did ya get those PMAGs anyway? I thought they weren't out yet <_< Nice guns to a bunch of people on the last page....

I got mine from a Hong Kong retailer. Not sure it would be safe to mention, dont want to get them in trouble with Magpul.

Massuma - Yeah, I'd heard about that, but I'm not overjoyed until I hear something about the quality of feeding. IMO Magpul just should've released a chassis that could be filled with the internals of a TM/G&P/whatever midcap.

Anyway that will probably happen soon, or someone will figure out how to gut a Magpul/Clone/Real PMAG.

i just got my clone pmag today. i shot through 3 mags, no feeding problems. it works just like any other standard hicap. it doesnt feel as sturdy or durable as a real magpul pmag, but i'm sure it'll hold up for airsoft purposes. i'm still getting the magpul airsoft pmag when it comes out tho, b/c i prefer mids. i dont think magpul is making any pmag high's. personally, judging from my clone pmag and pictures of the magpul airsoft pmag, the clone looks better because it has that clear window on the sides

I'm sure with some modding you could get the insides of an airsoft mag into a real one. Many of my old classic rifles used mags that were just like the real ones externally. The real ones are just a bit longer than AEG mags on the top.

The tough part would be getting the RS PMAGs into your state. Wisconsin is fine, but for Render (living in NY) and I (living in CA), we're not allowed the RS PMAGs regardless of whether or not they're going to be chopped up for AEG internals.

I'm tempted to get one of those UFC hi-cap PMAGs, print out a fake window showing a full mag with spring and follower, and shove in a TM standard in there. Just to see if it can be done. Actually, it may also be possible to do the fake rounds with some brass tubing.

Maybe I'll pick up a few when I visit family in New Mexico this summer ;)

For those PMAG wanters, Magpul just announced they'll be making new PMAG midcaps which will come out mid year (shouldn't that be now? :P)

Can't wait for some of those in my 416 :D

the news you posted was already announced 10 posts up.

the problem is they're not making high caps, and some players would like pmag high caps as back up. also my problem is that magpul is making their pmags without the clear window. the china pmags do

california legal 10/20 and 10/30 pmags...don't know if they'd be useful

Holy ######! I know my order is going out in a few days! S-arms in a PMAG shell=Sechs!

EDIT: yesh that would take quite a bit of modding to remove that darned polymer block :( We must ponder this :P

I´m very unacquainted with Armalites and thus need your help in this matter.

In the near future I´m planing to upgrade my JG m16a3 with a metal body and M5 RAS front set.

I´m on a fairly tight budget, not to tight, but tight enough not to buy the most expensive and best stuff on the market.

I´m aiming for a simple and minimalistic look. As far as the metal body goes I´m not sure about the motif yet.

Metal body:

Front set:

Carry handle:

Delta ring set:

So, is this *beep* any good? What do I need and what don´t I need? Help a noob out, please.

Well that M5 RAS front set comes with a delta ring, so you won't need to buy that G&P delta ring set.

And I wouldn't buy that Guarder aluminum carry handle... I mean, I'm sure it's nice, but $72 for JUST a carry handle? That's a little excessive even if you aren't on a budget. Seriously, buy a CA carry handle used. You can probably find one for like $20 or so.
