frogfish
eh, to a certain extent, some not as much as others, but be prepared to get harassed if you use stuff not befitting your job description, if anyone can discern you *might* be an airsofter on some forums be prepared for a long bit of rants, never mind you are just posting kit, not claiming to be a Jedi. Nasty_TheYankWelshOne
I can filter the exaggeration, but is that actually what it's like on some of these 'real' gear forums? Â Glad I don't have accounts... Â I'm poking fun at Gearsoc, where EVERYONE needs to be PERSEC'd, even if it's from a government released picture of a clerk that will never set foot overseas. Â I understand their "Taliban has the internet too" reasoning, but most of the pictures on there can be found with little or no effort, just by looking at the DoD website.... Â My thoughts exactly. And it's not the PERSECing that I find annoying. It's that if someone posts a non-PERSEC'd picture, they're berated and sometimes banned. Hell, I saw a guy banned because he didn't PERSEC the tattoos of a guy. Â Oh, and there was a German on there that was banned for having a US IR flag, which is technically a violation of ITAR. I REALLY wanted to ask some of the people that were banning him (guys in Sweden and other Euro countries) where they got their US-made kevlar helmets and body armor from. Wingmann
Bring pics to the pics thread? Â Here, some weird woodland pants that I bought. Apparently half of the pants were from one size and the other half from another.
TheFull9
For a minute I was looking at the thigh pockets and knee areas and all seemed normal... pan right... wtf?!?
kojak
They're custom combat bicycle messenger pants.

Johngol10
Â Old school kit *fruitcage* rocks. Plan on running this with a mix of ALICE, old gen BHI and LBT. Got that all sorted out and in the mail, I just need a BHI STOMP I in OD and I'll be set. Not sure what kinda' impression it'd fall under, so advice would be cool. Johngol10
As posted in the SEAL thread: Â Â Advice welcome. It's my take on an early 2000s NSW Greenside Recon kit. Â Â Â Gun needs new barrel and paint job, waiting on my flight gloves and Blackhawk old gen OD MBITR pouch, readjusted the back straps, and heading out to a new location for actual water pics. Â After that, le fin. Kit-list on request.
frogfish
your bat belt looks a little high, it's a floatation belt/harness not a chest rig.....
Johngol10
Like I said, I readjusted the rear straps after the pics were taken (After realizing how high up they were). The front sits perfectly, it's at the same height that my ALICE gear was, which was right at waist height. So now it's good to go.
frogfish
Ah I thought the picture was of the re-adjusted straps.... your kit isn't complete without rocketfins!!
Johngol10
Haha I know, I honestly would get some if I didn't have to buy other things first.
voodookid88
your bat belt looks a little high, it's a floatation belt/harness not a chest rig.....   I will argue this, I think preference is key, I ran my 1195 the same way, it is much more comfortable up high. Plus life is easier when you can reach knife etc on the belt
USRanger709
My DS was a Ranger in the 3rd Batt, and he wore his ALICE gear pretty high up. No one in our platoon ever got the courage to ask him why, however.
-Angel-
Some pics from this weekend's Cold War game, British & US against Russian and East German. Â Only 6 guys in the US Ranger unit (very outnumbered by Brits) so while they formed the "line infantry" units, we were tasked with Recce, long patrols and disrupting the enemy wherever possible. Great fun and the best game i've played in a long time.
