Bersy
Victory have a look on here it shows how that mount works
Victory
Alright, after much trial and error, I still have not been able to mount it. It appears as though the previous owner has worn down the mount on the AK to the point where it will no longet hold. And, it appears that the swing arm on the PK-AV is also worn down, so I'll need a replacement. -Vic
Bersy
Try tantal or kalinka theres 4 screws that you need to take out and 2 bolts, a tap with a malit or hammer will take the mount of the scope! I believe the cyma mount is the same size as the RS mounts and there also cheap. Edited November 11, 2008 by Bersy
Victory
http://ebaybanned.com/product_info.php?products_id=1064 Yeah, just found this. $10 shipped, not bad at all. It should work with VFC, yeah? And thanks for the scope mount link. Probably order one of those shortly. -Vic
PlasticMag
No, it won't. The mounting system is different - VFC/DBoys mounts from the inside, CYMA mounts from the outside. Make a shim or something...
Bersy
Hmmm i'm not 100% sure but it should... but i honestly couldnt say for sure.. i've used kalinka before as i had to get a mount for my posp ages ago and i do recommend them. I stand corrected! lol Edited November 11, 2008 by Bersy
Clot
My vfc mounted from the inside, and sure enough wouldnt my kobra didnt fit, it was too thin for the mount. I swapped it over for a cyma rail, which fitted perfectly. Ofcourse the bolts dont work the same way. All I did was use 4mm(may have been 5) nuts and bolts to secure it. Plenty of space on the inside of the vfc for the nuts to sit tight without modifying anything. Shim = fiddly, get a new rail and bodge it on.
Victory
Alright, made a temporary shim using a guide I found on Red Alliance. PBS-4, Noveske flash hider, and stock pad are on the way. -Vic Edited November 11, 2008 by Victory
CapaciousZepher
Looks boss Vic, good job. The PK-AV really sets it off. Cheers! - CapaciousZepher
-FIDO-
well i used this cyma mount...just use bigger screws, tap the rail for the screw size you used and mount it from the inside..no big deal this way i also mounted a RS siderail to my 74m
davedawg123
Looks good Vic. PBS-4 should finish it off nicely. You got the EB one, right? I was thinking about getting one. I wonder if the BBs can clear the can though.

davedawg123
VFC Krinkov PDW (or whatever they call it) KA TD rail covers (cut down to size) DBoys TD grip ACM AP Micro I have an Element TD stubby grip on the way. Nothing custom really. I'd like to put a CTR on there but I'll probably skip it unless I can source a cheap suitable receiver. For a while now, I was thinking about putting a K-rail on a regular VFC AKS74U. Meh, VFC beat me to it.
iilari
My ak family: 1. TM AK47, element ak74 body 2. Cyma akm, NVA handguards. Stock is plastic and needs refinishing. 3. Kalash aks74u, modified plastic handguards

chas
Mags seem to be tucked in so neatly, as if the box were designed to include them... do they all come with the gun or were they extra?
ruthlesscqb
they were extra.$40usd each.

joeshred
sorry to ask in this thread i want to purchase an ultimak rail clone (can buy the real deal due to domestic laws) for my china ak. was wondering if i could use this http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.php?i...B-AKOM_srch_VFC instead of this http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/...il?prodID=23848 in other words, can i fit a vfc part on a non-vfc aeg without extensive mods thanks
chas
Try finding out whether your gun is a clone of a VFC and if the gas block is cloned, too. Dboys AK74s and AKSUs, for example, are VFC clones, I believe.
joeshred
thanks, howabout G&G or cyma?

I'd like to put a CTR on there but I'll probably skip it unless I can source a cheap suitable receiver. For a while now, I was thinking about putting a K-rail on a regular VFC AKS74U. Meh, VFC beat me to it. good luck. VFCs are built like the RS. unless you plan on butchering a Dboys reciever there are no VFC compatible recievers with buffer tubes, besides do you REALLY want to go through the effort of hammering out the very tight pins holding the gun together every time you want to change the stock? not that i condone this kind of AK rape, but have you ever thought of getting a Dboys stock on the cheap, chopping it right back as far as you can and then attaching a buffer tube? the stock obviously wouldnt be able to lock when folded, but its a simple method that does require buggering up a perfectly good reciever. davedawg123
good luck. VFCs are built like the RS. unless you plan on butchering a Dboys reciever there are no VFC compatible recievers with buffer tubes So I've been told. I know VFC doesn't make buffer tube receivers, but I've seen adaptors that supposedly fit fixed stock receivers. But yeah, too much hassle. besides do you REALLY want to go through the effort of hammering out the very tight pins holding the gun together every time you want to change the stock? Hell no. Which is why I plan to skip the idea. But Vic, OTOH... Eh, I'm content with the folding stock anyway or so I must tell myself.
