Aitch
I'm considering parting with my Creation full metal 226 with hallowed sig factory walnut grips, what do you guys reckon it is worth ? must have cost over £350 to build or damn close, posted earlier on in the thread, recap pic And no, you can't have the grips
Romulus
When is that X-Five kit due out? I might build a brand new stainless X-Five during the springtime if its realistic enough My Blackwater kit got here just in time for Xmas but the Altamont grips are late P.S. I used a r/s mainspring seat on my Sig well over a year ago and posted the info too...what gives with the "how-to" guide? Its easy! I have no idea on the date of the X-five kit but I am sure hoping it's in the next month of so. As for the guide you have no idea how many people/topics I have seen asking about how to fit grips to the SIG. I got sick of going through the whole process of explaining it, it's easier just to give them a link. I actually wasn't going to write a guide but hkssr20det asked me for some pictures because he was going to write one and it ended up being easier to just write the whole thing myself. You'll notice I take no credit for the mod (I actually got the info from a post that Smurf made a long time ago), I just put it in a readable format.
SamJacksonFan
Well theres an expert kit out there with extended handguard like 1911 beavertail. Would love to get my hand on one of these. A Marui P226 definitely is one of my next projects. Maybe I'll have a look on the KSC version. But I guess, Marui is way better choice with all the aftermarket parts.

Romulus
How were the kits to fit? They look very nice overall.
wwjkc
thanks! the silver kit is much better than the old black non-rail, more side to side wobble from the black kit
PenGun
Has anyone considered how much the X-Five kit is going to cost? We'll need new longer outer barrels, recoil rods, springs, a new single action sear that can be cocked and locked, adjustable sights and new mag baseplates... PGC may have bitten off more than they can chew, cos its going to turn out to be one of the costliest GBB kits around, unless they go cheap on it which won't bode well for quality To make it affordable they might make it less functionally realistic. There is also a P226 SAS due out, which might be pretty cool. Its basically a "melted" and dehorned carry-version of the regular P226. P.S. please release some decent triggers, sights etc. for the Sig...the stock Marui pot-metal ones are terrible
Romulus
I wouldn't be surprised to see the X-Five kits come in at over $300. I'm sure that they will combine some of the X-Five features to keep things easier though. For instance, if they copy the X-Five Allround they won't have to deal with the thumb safety (and thus a different hammer mech). As far as unique sights go, if they copy the sights from the X-Five Tactical they can get away with having the end user use standard SIG sights. I'm sure that the final kit will have a lot of little tweaks like this. My guess is that they will take the parts from X-Five models and use the attributes of each that work best for them. I had forgotten about the SAS. They better not save the X-Five for last...
wwjkc
PGC will screw that kit up just like they screw up their blackwater sig kit no surprise to me
hkssr20det
What's wrong with the Blackwater? I haven't looked at them too closely. So there is a picture here: Edited December 31, 2007 by hkssr20det

Weirdguy
I just posted this in the weapons thread, but the more sigs the better! Just wish that it was a 550 and I had a metal body for it. Edited January 2, 2008 by Weirdguy
