Shao14
I'm under the impression that the real sig's decocking lever is also a safety lever like that on the USP. The TM Sig P228 springer's decocking lever acts as a safety lever. So the P226's decocking lever doesn't function as a safety?
Catchv22
The real one is only a decocker and doesn't have a manual safety.
Alex4Yu
Finally Marui made a GBB that i like! I'll denfinitly get me one of these!

Don't know why I thought it was like the USP safety/decocking lever. Maybe I got that impression from Marui's P228 springer. Hmm, make me want to get one of those now too. ZenMastaT
Very nice review. I've got a question though, you mention that the TM's decocker moves the hammer to a half-cocked position where it can be fired single action? I was wondering if this was correct since the real thing's decocker totally decocks the hammer back to a full double action pull.
enzo100
Go here! There are some pics about half way down showing how the decocking lever functions. Also as I side note...I won the auction for the Streamlight M6...250 dollars later
Shao14
I guess it doesn't use the new WA hammer transfer system, and can fully lower the hammer; otherwise, it'd fire. But I believe it reset the trigger back to double action.
Shao14
Just curious, for those who ordered from Den, how much is does the shipping cost to the US. (yes, I know I can ask them for a quote, but I'm too lazy to do that. And don't want to be on their black list if I decide not to buy from them.)
partyboy
They are tritium inserts fitted to the original sights, i do know the difference, please take my word on this, i'll try and get a better pic later. On a side note, i like this option as it means the sights will fit straight onto a metal slide rather than having to file out dovetails, etc to get after market sights to fit. Jamalen
John from Firesupport has already talked me into buying a Tritium sighted Sig226 of him (the Tritium costs you an extra £30 ($55) on top of the pistol, I asked him a few questions and they are indeed REAL tritium inserts..  So I'm now waiting for my new sig (used the real steel in the US in .357sig calibar).  This review makes me feel better about my purchase tho.. partyboy
Here's a close up of the sights just to clear it up. Jamalen, its £30 well spent in my book
Jamalen
indeed  I will now have 7 Gas Blow Backs in the house, I think the wife may smother me with a pillow at some point..  (Don't ask how many AEG's I have in the house )

Also as I side note...I won the auction for the Streamlight M6...250 dollars later <{POST_SNAPBACK}>   Thanks for the link, I suppose I was just confused by the wording as it does appear to lower the hammer all the way back down. Well I guess the WA V10 Ultra Compact will have to wait, Sig P226 here I come.
partyboy
ZenMastaT, Â Sorry i didnt make it too clear. The hammer has 3 postions, full cock, half cock and uncocked. Using the decocker puts the hammer in half cock, but the difference in positions between half cock and uncocked is very slight, maybe 2 mm of movement
DarkLite
Great review! Â Would get one, but absolutely broke, and so must wait... Â Hopefully, it will be so popular KJW might make a Full metal copy...(drool).

All I do remember for sure is that using the decocker returns the trigger to a double action pull, which would not appear to be the case on the TM, at least according to how I read your review.  EDIT: As a complete aside, if anyone cares, UNCo now has the P226 in stock at $225. I prefer them over DEN and Redwolf and I imagine there may be someone else out there who feels the same. http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=5726 Edited April 20, 2005 by ZenMastaT

Utty
Stock performance 330fps on green gas @ 15 degrees C? Muahaha. I told you this gun would rule. TM am bestest GBB pistol maker. Edited April 20, 2005 by Utty
screamin_weasel
i concur. with the HI-Capa, this SIG and the mighty desert eagle, it seems they really have absolutely nailed GBB production, just a shame they dont release more than one gun every 47 years.
Sledge
Maybe if enough people buy them, it'll convince TM to release more guns more often? Â
Tef
very interesting~ thing i will get this as my first gun instead~ so close to getting a KJW para-ord ...... hope alot of bits and bobs will come out for heavy customize during it's life
Utty
Maybe if enough people buy them, it'll convince TM to release more guns more often? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm sure TM's already selling tons and tons of GBBs. It's just that TM seems to put considerably more development time and effort into each GBB design, unlike most other manufacturers *cough*WA*cough*.  Anyway *buys two 226s* Edited April 20, 2005 by Utty
Sledge
Fair point. Would you rather they release a shedload of guns all at once that need tweaking, or wait a while for a gun shooting 300+ fps out of the box? Hmm... Â *Awaits flood of cheap 2nd hand GBBs as everyone sells them to fund 226s* Â
DarkLite
Well, all I want is a USP tactical that isn't uber-expensive (tanaka) and high-maintennece (KJW)...
vtsfan
Very nice review, Â Mine was dispatched yesterday according to the tracking at Firesupport, Might even be there when I get home from work. Ooh i want to go home NOW! Â
