I just recived my pair of mechanix yesterday, and I am currently putting them trough their paces. As a benchmark, I will test them against my well worn Damascus Search Glove.

Since I decided to go multicam, I have looked into ways of replacing anything black in my kit, gloves included.

I have heard many good things about Mechanix gloves, so I tought I would give it a try.

First thing that strikes me, is the thickness on the top of the glove, seems to be some sort of duallayer fabric(spandex), also, the whole of the palm is covered in (according to the label) simulated leather.

Velcro is very fine, not sure if this is a good thing or a bad, I am guessing the finer the velcro is, the more it suffers when it gets dirty. Stitching looks good, and the strap around my wrist is comfortable.

When I put them on, I noticed how the thumb is a bit short, and the rest of the fingers is a bit long. On my damascus, all the fingers are dead on fitting. I am hoping the glove wil perhaps expand a bit when I have used em, so for now, its not a big problem. But for people with shorter fingers, and longer thumbs (symmetrical fingers), the glove might be a bit uncomfortable. (This is my guess anyways).
