greg
8kg isnt THAT heavy.... my 50 is about 8 tbh thats about the same as a CA saw Mmm, I'd agree. In real terms, it's about, well, 8kg. But, if I'm "PLAYING AIR SOFT", I want to have fun. & that fun is hampered by carrying a big lump of useless (granted, pretty) metal around all day. If I want to do that, I'll get a job in Hoover's wear house. If I want to build muscles, I'll stick to the gym, & if I want to train for war, I'll join the army. NO. I just want a bit of fun shooting & being shot at. So, I keep the weight to a minimum & my back says thanks. The great thing about airsoft is the fact that there is room for all of us. From the simmers to the hosers & all those in between. Greg.
Belladonna
if i can manage a bloody aw.50, i think you need to grow some balls matey and sniping isnt running around like a blue arsed fly shooting everything, your weapon weighs nothing when its emplaced to shoot. Pablo
So because you're a girl and carry a heavy gun, that allows you to deride men who choose not to? Yeah right People don't have to measure up to your expectations, you know
Belladonna
didint say they did just saying if i can manage and dont complain, maybe hes no manlyman

Oh dear, she's off again! It's not a case of 'Manning Up', it's about personal choice,,,,,,,,,,,as is style of play. Do I tell you how to do it? Do I? Its worse than marriage. I too can, 'manage' big heavy manly butch guns, but sometimes, I CHOOSE not to. Grow a pair yourself. Greg.
Belladonna
i have a pair.... they are just located within me and named differently
chas
Then grow some personality and stop telling others how to play. end of off-topic Its not that I wont something heavier, less detailed, etc. I want it cheaper, and those are things that usually come with a price reduction, sideeffects, if you want.
Belladonna
oh god damn it get a humour implant..... I wasnt telling him how to play.... I am rather disapointed however... arnies seems to have gone down hill while i have been absent... members USED to be able to banter along for giggles.
Punkypink
Don't mind cheaper if it means being able to own a DSR-1. It's either that or win the bloody lottery and comission Candyman to make another DSR-1.
chas
OR... wait for someone to sell his for half the price when he realizes he doesnt want to lug this piece of trash around all day and/or gets bored of it, cause he only bought it to impress people.
Punkypink
That would work I guess lol.
L4byr1nth
This should have been based on the Tanaka gas system, not the STAR. My A.I.C.S. with all the bits on it weighs more than a CA SAW... Ben.
Belladonna
Or you could just use the tried and tested VSR or maruzen spring systems... 12 month consistancy that gas just doenst offer...
L4byr1nth
Lol depending on the gas you use, and the upgrades you have, it's pretty damn consistent all year. But I'm sure we've had this debate before with the springer brigade. Ben.
Belladonna
I own a tanaka m700 and a bolty.... so dont think im a spring snob, i just paticualrly find that even fully upgraded, i does not hold the consistancy that spring does in cold winter months.
thewallhitme
i agree. all in favour say aye (dont really, other wise we'll have a whole thread page with "aye" all over it) the cheytac does look super dooper tho
docs90
BACK ON TOPIC , im sure the Ares Cheytec .408 will not be cloned ,and as i have a distince dislike to the build qualiy of some clones (bella) i would have to see the performance of the Ares Cheytec .408 before i parted with any form of cash ,but it would have to be above 500 fps to achieve any kind of respectiable groupings with heavy or good ammo at 100 metres Off topic . next time im at sya bella i will bring the tools to set up at 100 m shot and range finder proof ,if you so wish to take me up on the offer BACK ON TRACK ! the Ares Cheytec .408 looks flash but its not a L96 veriant simple as
scar527
Please do so. Just tell us if its true or not. If it is, i will buy that gun if she ever sells it.
Belladonna
fat chance... MINE! also tbh, i sorta got to agree with doc there.... its not a l96 variant.... which tugs at my heart strings somewhat, as i want a family of awm, awp, l96, l115, l121 :S (nerd) but the cheytac is just that spacy techno look to it.... perfect for a firefly style rifle pity its not an ar50 but ill cope
Trasher
The CheyTac looks really nice, but it will be just as unpractical as the Barrett replicas... The DSR is a different matter, but the Star gas system is still unproven. I'd convert any of these to HPA in a heartbeat.
scar527
good to see that we are back on topic. seems the other thread they started got

hessu75
Dsr-1 is almost available shipping expect in few hours Would you mind telling me where did you get this "few hours"- info? The latest known info of distribution is this week, to my knowledge. Has ARES supplied some other seller earlier than Gunner? Does not matter, but I got the impression that Gunner is the first to get DSR on stock and pre-orders will go out first thing this week, hopefully. Anyhoo, I am also waiting for this piece of hardware and can´t wait to skirmish with it. Cheers -Hessu-
