A COLD day indeed here, probably never got above freezing. The water in my CamelBak nozzle started to free about 2pm, anyway...

Good day of airsoft, lots of shooting, lots of BANGS, and lots of getting lost :P

Picture depicts two heavily armed operators patrolling through rubble close to the village of Irboska at first light during the Sunday morning.

Unidentified "Commandos" sighted on the Russian/Estonian border

During this morning, local police in the village of Irboska received several reports of armed men, or "Commandos" as referred to by the locals, moving at march speed through the countryside. As local civilians approached the group, the armed men surprisingly made no aggressive actions to fend them of, in fact, they didn't seem to care about the attention. "It was as if we weren’t even there" an elderly man stated in an interview with local newspapers. Not even when a daring man started to take photographs the unidentified group made any attempts to stop him.

From examining the photographs and from what the locals have told the press, the group seems to have consisted of about ten individuals, more alarming, all armed to their teeth. "From looking at the photos", military expert John Strieber says, "It is quite obvious that what we got here is something else then a local militia. The gear on show here is nothing short of what the best special forces units in the world uses." To give a few examples, the men carried variants of the Heckler & Koch 9 mm MP5 SMG, heavily modified and modernised versions of the American 7.62 M14 rifle, several clones of the American army issued 5.56 M16/M4 systems and supposedly most noticeable, one operator was wielding a M249 Squad automatic weapon (SAW), a fully automatic 5.56 machinegun. Several weapons were sporting state of the art red-dot scopes, lasers, IR systems and other accessories.

The pictures shows three of the unknown weapon wielders slowly advancing along a hillside,

weapons were constantly kept low when there were locals in close proximity.

From time to time, the group picked up it's pace and got clear of the local followers. The police had been informed as soon as the men were spotted, but the situation was declared to be "to dangerous" by the local police and the group was able to roam undisturbed for at least three hours before state authorities showed up at the scene, when of course, the mysterious men were long gone.

Two operators arguing, very probably over what to do about the eccentric locals.

Government officials have declined to comment on this incident and the current whereabouts of the group is still unknown. Search parties have been scouring the area during the morning, but still, no trace of the armed group has been found.

Expert say that judging by the photographs, this team can well have been inserted/and or extracted by aerial assets (helicopter or parachute), although there are still no evidence for this.

Who were these men, and what was their mission? These questions may well be left unanswered for quite some time. Many villages close to the Russian border, including Irboska, are known as hubs for weapon and drug exports from Russia, serving as loading points for trucks taking the merchandise through Estonia and then via boat to the rest of northern Europe. The locals interviewed have all clearly stated that the men spoke English, although several of them had very distinct accents, suggesting that the group had members from many different parts of Europe, or the rest of the world. There is also quite a study rumour going around saying that several of the men had patches on the right shoulder of their uniforms, depicting a laurel wreath with “rainbow” written in capital letters inside of it, although the experts we have confronted all say that there are no known active military units with that name.

One operator had a strange patch on his arm. That say RAINBOW!

Boarder security has been increased until further notice as a result of this incident, but locals say that this morning has actually been quite exciting, and would love some more action around…

Time will tell if that will be the case.

I enjoyed reading that westsidee! +1 for your effort. And excellent pics too.

Are those real PRR radios or did you just do the Bowman head set conversion?

Soba

Thanks! :) It's my teammates idea with the text. I'm just on the pictures. All pictures are real in-game pictures so we aren't posing ;)

These are Bowman conversion that I make for few people. ;)
