Crandall
Sorry for not replying sooner but was away for a couple of days. Just to simplify things, the mall is in the Canary Islands and the pics are 100% real. We were hired by the mall to setup a show. The laws here are very laid back compared to the US or UK. It's the responsiblity of the mall to take care of all necessary permits, which are essentialy none. It did create a bit of a dilema, and all the authorities showed up but in a very laid back way because they know us, since I'm their advanced firearms instructor. They basicaly showed up to show that it was ok. Something like this in the US could never happen. We had a blast. The spectators enjoyed it. We setup a control with sand bags and barriers at the entrance of the movie hall, and escorted the spectators to their seats. If they arrived when the movie started we used the lights on our weapons to light the way, and pointed to their seats with the lasers. There was the ocasional antiwar activist that had something to say. We had already done soemthing similar for the SWAT premiere and it turned out great. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry I ever doubted you
Tripod
Nice camo on your sniper rifle. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks. It's not perfect though. Was the first gun I ever camo painted. Has a couple drip spots on the barrel. Need to sand em out, and repaint the barrel. Also, I want to fix that single stripe that I painted the opposite way. It bugs me. I'm out of tan though. doc_newstead
In that case, it is awesome! I remember seeing a video of something like this online, think it was for the SWAT movie premiere. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The US Army did a similar thing at one of the E3's to promote 'America's Army: Special Forces'. They rappelled onto the exhibition centre roof and all that

expvideo
Here's a pic during the War of the Worlds premiere. A dozen of us took over the mall. Had a blast. People didn't know what to think I'm the guy in the back with the sidearm. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I could lecture you, but you've gotten plenty of that already. So instead: OMG that's cool!!!! I'm so jealous! OK, on to my similar story... When Paycheck was in theaters, so was LOTR:3, and people were dressing up for it. So to make fun of the costumed fans, my friends and I dressed up as SWAT to see paycheck. When we got inside, (some of our friends worked there) the chick at the food counter asked us where our guns were. I thought it was a funny question, but more and more people started asking why we were unarmed. So I asked the manager if we could make some rifles out of cardboard boxes for props, and he said yes. Apparently, he thought I was going to cut 2 lines out and tape them together as a pistol. Well I made one "rifle" out of a cardboard box, and it looked ok. somewhat rifle-ish. So my friend insisted that it was his. OK, whatever. So I got to work on making rifle #2 out of cardboard and staples. When I was done with it it looked like I'd taken an m4 and painted it cardboard color. It was so realistic, the same manager that said "ok" told me that either the gun leaves or I do, because it looked too real. He was impressed, but there were actually people in the theatre that thought it was a real gun, so we obviously got rid of it. Anyway, I just thought that was cool, and kind of a fun story to share. sturgis
That field looks awesome to play on. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It is ! i s was my first time playing in England, and the first time in such an enviroment, the fort was brilliant, and the pyros used created an atmosphere i had never experienced before ! i mean, during the fight i was covering a corner, and when they threw something into the building, wich i thought was smoke, that turned out to be a nade, i squeezed of a shot from exitment and surprise when it went off ! lol talk about lack of gundicipline right there (course twas on semi, so only one BB's was shot) But damn ! what an immersion... it felt like the floorboards jumped up 30cm everyone time one of those nades went off on the floor below brilliant stuff ! i can't wait to get back out to england, and probably will be doing so in the comming weeks !
