newtoairsoft
Well I had not seen a picture thread created for classic wepaons and I think they deserve one. So if you have a classic airsoft gun please post it here. I wanna get a look at aisrofts history. Edited April 24, 2005 by newtoairsoft
FUmiYAsu
is this classic airsoft as in gas guns or just classic?
Bladerunner10_0
Some of these on other threads. But are all what you would class as "Classic". None are electric. Either spring or gas. Â Great idea for a thread. Edited April 24, 2005 by Bladerunner10_0

Antagon
The Maverick is one DAMN menacing shotgun, just the sound it makes puts the TM shotties to shame, to shame I say!
AustinWolv
Mine are posted in the support weapons thread.

When I say classics I mean older airsoft guns, generally gas long rifles but if you ahvea ny of the recntly realeased gas rifles like the sps I would be happy to see those as well. Also older gbb handguns are welcome.

Bladerunner10_0
OK, not strictly airsoft, but when I was a kid some off the toys you could get were pretty bloody good. I was always waiting for the first weapon that would fire pellets. But until that time, we had to make do with gear like this. Â AR10. Dates about mid 1960's. Bolt action 1972. Both FAL SLR's 1970/73. P38 1977. PPK Made In Germany 1978. Â Cheers
newtoairsoft
haha thats some truly great stuff bladerunner, anyone who wants to post old school reallistic toy guns your welcome to as well I suppose they are in some ways airsofts predecessors. Did those models fire anything or wee they simply noise makers?
Bladerunner10_0
Both the FAL's fired dummy bullits. The Bolt Action would cycle & eject a dummy Full Metal Jacket. The AR10 was battery driven. Made a bloody racket. Walther P38 was a kit. Came with shells & field strips. PPk was just a cap gun-all metal.
FUmiYAsu
My sp M16 With Real steel grip, bi-level mount, ATN digital reflex sight
rhino
Now you see, the thing that's wrong with the first picture is the fact that there's a hammer at the side of the M16...
FUmiYAsu
I knew someone would say tht... I forgot why i had it there actually.. probably because the receiver pins were stuck..
WMH
My (circa 1991 or so I think) Tokyo Marui Gas Blowback Shell-Ejecting MP5A3. Â Â Â Â For those that are not familiar with it, this gun has basically the same externals as the TM springer, it's all plastic. Not a great replica, but fun to shoot because of the shell-ejecting feature.
^cRYpTic^
Now you see, the thing that's wrong with the first picture is the fact that there's a hammer at the side of the M16... Â <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Â And the fact that it isn't an M16... Â Looks like an M4 with an M16 outer barrel. Edited April 25, 2005 by ^cRYpTic^
enzo100
shell ejectin MP5, VERY COOL :-D
Antagon
And the fact that it isn't an M16... Â Looks like an M4 with an M16 outer barrel. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Â Â No, it's an M16A1 Carbine M4 would have a flattop receiver with shell deflector Not to mention the A1 trades. Â And WMH's mp5 can eject real 9mm brass
WMH
shell ejectin MP5, VERY COOL :-D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I really wish they still made them! Â Â And WMH's mp5 can eject real 9mm brass <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Indeed it can. But not very well. I got a box of once-fired 9mm brass, and have shot it a few times with that, but I have stopped using them, because they were causing quite a lot of jams. The plastic shells have a larger extractor groove than the real thing, and also the weight difference makes the real brass not eject as well as the plastic. I don't want to risk any more real brass jams in the delicate mechanism of this gun, so the few times I shoot it now I use the plastic ones, then scrounge them up, counting them, in fear of losing one... LOL Edited April 25, 2005 by WMH
newtoairsoft
How did the fal's fire dummy rounds? I dont see anywhere to load the rounds, what were they powered by, how were they cocked? Can you post a video of those beasts in action?
Bladerunner10_0
The rounds where fired under spring power. Very low. Youd be lucky to hit the other side of a very small room. You can just see the the bullits on the card, next to the diagram telling you how to load the magazine.
oikoik
fantastic, i wouldve loved one of those..
