reaper16
Hello to the mod who locked my sale thread that i only posted twice NOT THREE TIMES................................... I reposted to sale a CA m16 for my roomate, and i reposted three items to make my thread more concise..i dont see what the issue is in doing this? Since my first sales thread wasnt very readable so to speak? So may i please fix this without someone locking it?
Marlowe
At a guess, the moderator who did this did so as you were effectively duplicating threads. This is against the rules, so I'm unsure what the issue is?

Anteater
Not me(*passes blame) But, You can report or PM a moderator with a revised sales post if you made a mistake on the original, the moderator will review it with the original thread and edit your original post or paste the revision over it. You can also post the revised sale as a reply in the original thread and use the report button to ask a moderator to merge it with the old post. Only do this if you have exceeded the post edit's time limit otherwise just edit the first topic instead of making new ones, if a second(or third) is posted please at least report those ones to be removed to cut down on clutter or all of them will be closed as what happened here. Edit: pablo's was shorter and faster than my typing Edited October 11, 2008 by Anteater
reaper16
SO how do i do this exactly? Can a mod just get rid of my two old sale posts so i may make a new concise one that is understandable.
Pablo
Yes. Just hit the report button and ask. It helps if you include links to the threads you want closed.
Chris North
Is the reporter's name included in the post report, too? If not, how can you be sure that the person requesting the thread to be closed is really the OP? Has anything like that ever happened?
Marlowe
Their name is included, yes. It takes the form of a PM forwarded to all Moderators / Admins, and the most a person can do is say what they are reporting and why. Beyond that we can visit the link, check that the thread is theirs and decide whether we feel anything needs changing / addressing or not. Because of this, nothing like what you describe has ever happened.
