I've got a 9.6v 1600 mah Nimh in the redimag. It's a radio shack R/C car battery made from AA sized cells (2 rows of 4) this one: http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?cata...uct%5Fid=23-432 less the charger...was $15 But anyway, I think I burned through 4 or 5 hicaps without a hitch. Haven't really put it to a "run it 'til it dies" test, so I'm not sure how long it will really last. btw, the gun has a 110% spring, so it's only mildly upgraded. edit: 8.4v and 9.6v mini batteries fit in the redi-mag too. fyi.
