Hispeed1
To all-I have a problem with the straps on my replica IBH helmet from eBay/EHobby Asia. When I wear it and secure the straps, it is very tight and it pulls on my chin to my left very bad. I adjusted it loose and it's still tight and pulling to the left. Any suggestions? Will the strap for a replica MICH 2002 work to replace it? Thanks.
-Angel-
Issue MICH or ops-core will sort you out. Most cheap copy helmets come with rubbish straps.
FaRKle
Even the issue ACH/MICH straps aren't great...
-Angel-
They're a hundred times better than the replicas.
justin.kovacs
Get yourself an MSA ACH/MICH replacement harness. You could even pick up the Gentex replacement kit, or the replacement set from Oregon Aero. The suspension system that comes will most replica helmets is garbage. Period. shash
All replics (IBH, MICH) have garbage inside. Get OPS-CORE straps - best available. Also try Team Wendy pads as a replacement for standard ones.
justin.kovacs
I would not say "Best" as that becomes difficult to argue. it is all up to the users preference. Highspeed, as I said via PM, the Issue system is about the cheapest and most accurate for the IBH, after that the Gentex or Oregon Aero kits will work just fine...... the roob
links to where one could purchase this? and also replacement padding? the padding (and strappage) that came with my IBH is terrible. possibly hazardous.
justin.kovacs
Ebay is usually the fastest and easiest place to source replacement MICH/ACH parts.... A quick google search will also bring up several results for replacement hardware.
