I wonder what the colour loos like in person (or in gun?). as both Rsov's and Gunner's pictures obviously have lightning problems.

As I said in the announcement, I think its a good thing these come shooting 430 FPS, as I believe that most people who buy these will use them as sniper rifles anyway. I just hope its fully compatible with the other Marui M14 clones or that it doesnt have the flaws their previous M14s had.

BTW: here's a link to the company that makes the RS stock, for comparison

:yikes: oh ######!

hmm, gotta pick this up ASAP (shipping would probably be around 60-80 for us US guys) so its paired up with my prediction quite well. i predicted 145 a while ago and 88+60= 148 so i was pretty damned close.

i really hope the problem with the mags being able to be rocked out is fixed. the rest i can cope with.

Clarification: Kart used to be craptastic.. and so did, Cyma, Dboys, JG, etc. Lets hope they have gotten as good as Cyma's M14s, then were set.

Have a look at JAE's website: just painting the cheek-pad, grip and scres flat black will make a hell of a difference. Now waiting for Element to replicate the Vltor bipod and someone to make a tan M3 scope.

I dont think they used a new gearbox, judging by the inclination of the grip part and how its not as slanted as the RS one, but more like the traditional M14.

Disabling the auto mode is really easy: you just need to take the gun out of the stock (5 seconds) and take away the selector arm. You just need a screwdriver and its done in under 2 minutes.

It's gonna be interesting to open one of these up. I hope its pretty standard so parts can be switched out. On Gunner's they said they havent tested the hop up compatibility with TM.

IIRC KART M14s use standard AEG gears and an out of (marui) spec cutoff lever as the chief differences. It's been a year or more (when their EBR was first released) since I took one apart, put it back together and handed it back to the guy who owned it and said, 'no thanks' after he asked me to upgrade it.

I know, I started that one too. But since most people have the news forum on "view by last thread" mode, I figured noone would see it.

Has anyone noticed the flashhider? Heres hoping that it screws away from the front sight and so I can a SEI sight, that would look awesome.

Very likely, but there's a pre-existing ruling on how this kind of info is supposed to be handled:

When a new gun or piece of kit becomes available at one of the many retailers, before starting a new thread about it please check to see if there is already a news thread (Eg. Manufacturer A to make a super mega gun) on the item in question.

If there is please add the release information to the existing thread, do not start new one.

There was also a duplicate thread posted hours before yours too. That one the moderators kindly merged for us with the pre-existing JAE-100 thread.
