Wastelander- a gas-operated, semi-auto APS shell shotgun feeding from Saiga magazines, and with interchangeable barrel length. Full build log here.

Couldn't be happier right now.

Build log is over in Project Suggestions if anyone's interested.

These popped up at Gunmall Tokyo for the very reasonable price of $120 so I jumped on it :)

Rebuilt my APS CAM870 shorty custom shotgun tonight using SWAP (Special Weapons and Plastic) video guides on how to modify the PPS shell side-sadle and shell catcher onto the APS CAM870 :)

Looking good! Really makes me want to get one too.

I will prob never shirmish it since i have a hard time accepting the "pung".

But nice too see you used Moddans guide, hes a good friend of mine! We will do a episode together in the future.

How well does it accept real parts? Mainly thinking of a T2 setup with wood pump and riot topfolder.

How did you remove the black stuff btw? Acetone? (tried nail polish remover but didn't work)

*just manged it with the back of a scalpel by slowly scrapping it off.... 2 down... 23 to go -_-

Actually just natural wear from cycling the shells and playing around with them :P

It is a close match to RS 870 AFAIK. However the shells are an "in-between" gauge. I think when I measured and looked it up it was like 14½ gauge or something.

So real mag tubes and extensions and mag tube followers don't work (I tried).

Real forends are drop in fit. Real stocks and pistol grips require a tiny bit of mod and customized screws.

So yeah, a T2 buil should be very do-able.

I also heard of one guy who pretty much drop-in-fitted a real 870 trigger group in his APS... :o

Thinking about getting one for mine since they don't require a firearms license. 1200-ish KR at Brownells.se

And, just last week I got a comment on my trigger group disassembly/reassembly video from a guy that had followed it for his real 870 trigger group without realizing my video was for an airsoft gun :P

So yeh :D

I've seen Moddans posts at AirsoftSveige and he's a CAM870 fan to say the least :P

hehe
