shmook
yes, actually, been doing a bit on it today! will put some pics up later on tonight
shmook
double post, sorry, but too late to edit pics as promised! first, the MP5 forearm. i wasnt bothered about butchering this, as i got it for a tenner, as it didnt work. £4 later, i had 2 new bulbs from fleabay! yay! as you can see, ive roughly radiused the top, one side is for the mag release on the gun, and i just did the other for symmetry. split in half what its going on positioning it turns out this was a bit high, if i wanted to keep some material for strength, so i lowered it a bit check fit for the torch i cut some of the bottom out, and heated it to mould it around the forearm, and then filled it with milliput. no pics of the cutting im afraid, i forgot! this was taken after i attacked it with a sander and files othe side the bottom, showing where i cut out and filled as you can see, its far from finished, and a bit of a lash up, but its very comfortable. a bit more filing/sanding, and then i'll spray it and fit the torch
aznriptide859
Nice job - similar to what I did with my first TM M3. I just got another today, contemplating doing the same. I lost my progress pics, but here are some of the internals:
shmook
gah! yours poo's all over mine! edit: cheers for sharing though, what did you finish it with? Edited November 18, 2010 by shmook
aznriptide859
I believe Bondo (really weak, so don't slam it into a door/tree), then just truck bedliner paint.
stubert
aznriptide859 that looks seriously amazing. Seriously considering this on my M3 (once I've bought it back off the guy I sold it to :S). Looking at the pictures you just grafted the light part of the mp5 handguard onto the normal M3 grip? shmook
cheers, it was the paint i was on about great work!
Bando
are there any "needed" upgrades that should be done to a DE m56 at all? im still trying to source a company that will help me make metal bodys for them the only one that said yes sofar wants £300 perbody even if i order like 100 no one wants to pay that much lol. aznriptide859
Frankly, no more upgrade are made for the M3's besides the KM TBB's. PDI no longer makes the springs or piston heads, and ANGS doesn't exist anymore.
Bando
such a shame i took mine out on sunday was just gonna use it for one game spent the rest of the day with it now im hooked on shotties and cant find more shells
aznriptide859
Well shells should be easy to find - they'll take any DE or TM shell used for the shotguns.
SpecialistR
This thread needs back to the top. Got a tri-rail for free with a parts gun,so,why not? I added a nice comfy grip and presto. Now I just need to stop pissing all my money away and actually buy that folding stock to complete this. And a recent adquisition, actually cobbled together from two parts guns. Now taking suggestions on a good torch for the tac jobbie.
Jin15
Pretty blasters! Regarding the torch, a Streamlight TLR-1 or Insight M3 on the bottom rail in front of the vertical grip could work quite nicely I think.
SpecialistR
Thanks for the compliment. I have an ACM M6 that I might throw on there for *suitcases* and giggles later on,but I was thinking about a nice torch for this gun, since it is probably the only accessory that will ever see those rails aside from a grip. In fact I dont know why I didnt throw it on there for the pic in the first place.
TheFull9
Totally forgotten how long I've actually owned this thing, but I decided to give it a lick of paint and finally get it posted up.

grzechotnik
How does AFG works with pump shotgun? More pics, two of You guys with M1014's! Cheers!
neilgoth1974
^ I get to hold to pump more comfortably and it gives me more leverage pumping such.

Nice paint job. I've been after one of these for a while to no avail...jealous! Edited December 29, 2010 by Blackweell!
chas
Looks very cool! Can you post some side-pictures? You dont happen to have a Surefire M900, M910, or something alike, do you? Edited December 29, 2010 by chas
neilgoth1974
^ I'll try to post side photos soon. Sorry, I don't have an M900/910, but I thought of using that before. Tried a vertical grip though but because the DE shotgun is hard to rack, using a vertical grip only made it more cumbersome to do, same could then be said about the M900/910 on it so I settled with the AFG and installed a G36C short rail on the pump's side to accommodate a replica scout light in the future. Mister Miles
I have never seen an AFG on a pump-action shotgun. Interesting to say the least.
neilgoth1974
^ there are photos in the net of real steel shotguns with AFG installed so I thought of trying it out Edit: check this "Magpulized" one - http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i182/mixflip/afg4.jpg Edited December 30, 2010 by neilgoth1974
TheFull9
Nice paint job. I've been after one of these for a while to no avail...jealous! Thanks mate, I'd imagine they'll be back around soon enough since a fair amount of other chinese stuff has been popping up recently, I think there's quite a few people after one of the DEs from what I've seen around the forum, I'd quite like another myself actually. Really liking the RIS'd up pump neilgoth, I guess the side rail was a straight 'drill a hole, nut and bolt' sort of job, but how did you go about adding the bottom rail for the AFG?
