Wraith18A
Christ that has to be one of the longest foregrips ive ever seen! it was kinda like looking at that ladies legs on that naked gun movie lol very well painted <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, I'm pretty sure that its just a trick of the photo... if I'm right, that's just a knock-off of the KAC M5 RAS. Wraith18A
Here's my first time: The gun's going to change a few things, however, I'll be painting those other things in a similar manner.
Carter
Looks good. May I ask why the pistol grip stayed black?
Wraith18A
My hand is going to be there for most of the time... why bother painting it? That, and I might be getting a different grip for it.
luvs2shoot
why bother painting it? well it looks better for times like these when ur showing ur rifle
lewis hiscock
do you think it would be harder or easier to sell a painted rifle?
luvs2shoot
it depends. if it's a great looking paintjob, then yeah it might help with the sale. however, airsoft is all about personal preference, doing a good spray job that someone else will think is also cool is difficult. from what i've seen and heard, seems like guns with spray jobs are a little bit harder to sell
Psychosis
I wouldn't mind buying your SOCOM 16 if you ever decided to sell it, that's for sure. I would agree though, that paintjobs are pretty subjective.

Souske
Different lighting for better contrast of the pattern. I also have the standard ribbed handguard and the PEQ painted as well.
luvs2shoot
lol im beginning to be a "souske" fan lol. ur paintjobs are all very nicely done and pretty damn original! nice! im liking the leaf pattern more than the "mud" one lol.
ronburgundy__
very hot.
Souske
Haha, thanks guys! One more quick picture of the receiver details. Edited August 16, 2007 by Souske
ronburgundy__
So do you just get bored with a paintjob? Or do you paint it every week for a reason, like different terrain? Either way 9/10 of your paintjobs are straight baller, so keep it up.
Souske
I guess I'm experimenting with different camo schemes as I go along. Trying to find the 'perfect' scheme for the AR15 that's still in progress. Heck, at this rate, I might have to end up getting a couple of ARs. On a side note...I used 7 colors this time. Funny thing is that they blend in together pretty well for once. Who knows....maybe in the future maybe some LE agencies might ask me for my painting services. Not practical, but it'll be a really fun side job. However, I'm still a firm believer that the operator should paint his/her own rifle. luvs2shoot
wow so u've been repainting the same gun like every week? man do u sand off the paint first? wont' the numerous paint coats become too thick?
Souske
Not necessary every week. Sometimes it stays the same for a couple of months. As for sanding, none is done here. The paint can be removed in under 10 minutes with acetone.
Souske
Alright, new set of pictures...with PEQ and ribbed handguards and slightly better lighting.
Raven 6
Reposting what I said in the armalite thread: "Wow! That came out pretty cool Souske. IMO it looks more artsy than tactical though.. I kinda imagine you skirmishing with an expensive painting piece instead of a gun lol. Great job as always!"
Miker
I have a question for you Souske. I would like to know what you do to keep the leaves in place while painting, and I would like to know how you get such a sharp outline of the leaves, it looks really really good, and I just want to know how I can make mine better (hence the questions) Thanks Edited August 16, 2007 by Miker
