CapaciousZepher
I want to spray my G Spec but I just can't bring myself to do it <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's what I thought too for a long time but I finally took the plunge and did it. Well worth it as it turned out great, and the paint weathering will only improve it. I just went slow and careful, using krylon paint. The only part I undercoated was the stock. Cheers! - CapaciousZepher

HaVoC
I think I need a new project weapon now - this one's finished Classic Army M15A4 Carbine Classic Army M15A4 RIS Front Set (with rail covers) Laylax AN/PEQ-II (dummy-corded and zip-tied onto the RIS system) G&P NSN 4x32 ACOG (dummy-corded onto the RIS system) ICS Flip-Up BUIS Vertical Front Grip STS 1-Point CQB Sling Spec Ops Brand Wolf Hook (taped up around the rear of the stock) Surefire Z2 CombatLight (on other side of RIS system) G&P Midcap Magazines (with paracord magpuls and taped grip areas) STAR Real Capacity Magazines For CQB I run it with the Surefire Z2 or my Sreamlight Stinger and the vertical front grip. For greenside I remove the Surefire and replace it with a rail cover, and sometimes remove the vertical grip, too, and again replace this with a rail cover. The whole thing's been hit with OD and Black Krylon paints, and then worn in well (almost entirely through proper use, although I took wet-n-dry to the vertical grip after Kryloning it to bring it to the same state of wear as the rest of the gun). As far as I'm concerned, this is perfection in a gun - it couldn't work any better for what I do Edited December 2, 2005 by HaVoC
Trigger Happy10
Looks great Havoc. Your next project gun should be a... Sig 552! In all honesty that gun looks great because it has been used. I have to get some krylon though
HaVoC
NEVER! I'm thinking an MP5 with Navy trigger group, Surefire grip and sliding stock, then a late-90s SEAL CQB rig to go with it

I'm thinking an MP5 with Navy trigger group, Surefire grip and sliding stock, then a late-90s SEAL CQB rig to go with it <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Already one step ahead of you there. Just need the real deal grip and the rig

SgtBojangles
Dummy corded? elaborate please <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think he means that he used 550/para cord as a means to further "attach" the PEQ2 to the RIS.
HaVoC
Yep. Basically, if you smash the gun against something hard enough to dislodge the AN/PEQ-II or ACOG, you don't get butt-f***ed by your superiors for losing it
