poorieuser
hey i was just wondering if anyone has tried baking there metal parts(i.e. metal bodies and such) and if so have you ahd any excess with it lasting longer. If it does help i was also curious to know if its as simple as painting your item, letting it dry and baking it for a while. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm not really sure how well it works on airsoft guns but ive done it for several wwii helmets, well had it done. It does make the paint last alot longer, but i think its definatley gonna be different than just baking spray paint. I could be and probally are wrong but just my $0.
ardrummer292
For some peculiar reason, I love to paint guns. Why? Beats me, as I nearly failed art in school and hate painting anything else. KWC Sig P226: brown slide/grips, OD lower frame, black controls/ejection port/barrel. Terrible, in my opinion, but it was a start. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/ard...6-leftstand.jpg DEVGRU "saltwater-worn" TM Glock 17: camouflage lower frame w/plenty of wear, tan slide, black controls/ejection port/barrel. You either love it or you hate it; I warmed up to it eventually. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/ard.../g17-bottom.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/ard...17-topstand.jpg TM M1014 (converted from M3): camouflage stock/receiver/pistol grip/pump, black controls/stock tube/ejection port/barrels/shell tube, red fiberoptic bead installed in lieu of front blade sight (not pictured). My baby, although I sold her. I regret it more every day. ***VERY big pictures - 56k'ers beware*** http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/ard...cs/100_0295.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/ard...cs/100_0296.jpg WELL M4 CQB-SD (converted from WELL M933): camouflage stock/pistol grip/RIS base, tan suppressor (made from a toilet paper tube and a roll of ticker tape ), black receiver/controls/stock tube/barrel/RIS rails. This thing was a bear to modify, because to shorten it, I had to cut a tube of stock steel about 1/8'' thick. That was the only metal part on the gun, may I add... http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/ard...d-rightrear.jpg WELL M933: camouflage stock/receiver/RIS base/RIS accessories, khaki RIS rails/delta ring/pistol grip/stock adjustment lever, black stock tube/controls/barrel. I basically wanted to paint the h3ll out of a WELL P.O.S. and see if I could make it look halfway respectable. I think I succeeded, somewhat. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/ard...ndfrontleft.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/ard...-rightrear2.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/ard...3-rightrear.jpg ***DISCLAIMER: I have never purchased, or used, an LPEG. My girlfriend had them lying around and wanted me to turn them into decent-looking wall hangers.*** Edited July 27, 2006 by ardrummer292

SilentSwift
Any more opinions on mine? I am really trying to give him some guidance so he can do it so I wont have to screw it up when it get it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey, I am actually quite liking the beginning looks of this, but that reciever has GOT to be painted. It looks like it may have two faint strips of brown paint already? It should all just be painted the same color as the rest. If you want a simple look, you could do what I did with my m4...here are some pictures, I really like how it came out. Basically, for him, the paintjob would consist of painting the reciever with that same color of green, and then just spraying stripes of black on in whatever thickness and frequency that you request. For the record, the stripes on mine alternate from green to black and each stirpe is between one and two inches. I did it all free hand. Hope I could help! SgtBojangles
Here it is again: Yes, I painted my rifle TM M16A2 with: SR-16 receiver CA M15A4C stock & carry handle SR-16 RIS & front barrel assembly Spec-Ops magazine pouch (battery pouch) Prometheus M4A1 tight bore It's not very accurate (it's 4-5 years old), but does well with my drum magazine. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

SgtBojangles
I have no idea where you play, but something tells me the black straps will stick out, especially against your sweet camo. EDIT - Nice paint job! Edited August 8, 2006 by SgtBojangles

DazJW
A very straightforward paint job (just one colour) but it's made this look a whole lot better than before. Crown Colt Python 4" Springer Before - Black Plastic After - Tamiya Gunmetal Spray Shame it's internals are utterly rubbish (65fps anyone?)
