I painted over the slide with a traincar black (thick thick paint) to remove the silly "homeland defender" that was in white, and I then dry brushed the whole thing with gamesworkshop's "gunmetal" paint, although its hard to notice in my crappy pictures. I then painted the grips "german gray" then varnished them. Im ###### though the guns kapoot....

thanks, guys...

the technique is to layer with the lightest color followed by masking with natural vegetation using your secondary, darker camo colors. you do this twice/three times and you'll get the blend shown.

scope is a G&P M3 replica with a scope extender to minimize front glare.

Souske,

Out of interest, is you gun actually ten times bigger than when you first got it? :P

Haha, not yet! If I do go for a new color scheme, I usually strip the paint down to the primer level first.

Aye, how many paintjobs has it had so far?

I like this one though. The colors work well.

Cheers!

Too many to count. I'm still trying to figure out that "perfect" pattern. Thanks though!

Spray over the netting that comes inside of them??? I don't know just a possiblity... Victory will no for sure! well because he was the one who mentioned it after all...

Yep, that's exactly it.

Ok. lol... I didn't even think about the netting when you brought it up, which left me scratching my head about what possible use you could have for the shorts themselves. I dunno... Maybe, cut the little Hawiian flowers out for stencils?...

Here you go....

I'm using the Krylon Camouflage Paint System spray cans which most of you know and are quite easy to purchase. The colors are Olive Drab, Brown, Khaki and Black.

Using the olive and brown spray cans, I'll apply random broad streaks of each color on the entire gun. Something like what you would see on a simple camouflage gun.

Go into your garden or where ever and gather a bunch of overgrown grass, weeds, plants and roots. Place a handful of whatever you gathered on the olive section of the gun and overspray it with a different color. Try to have the vegetation lie flat on the surface so that you can get a sharp masking line before you start applying the different color. Placing the weed in random angle will also give you that wild growth look. Spray lightly. You can add more paint but it's a *badgeress* if you start having runs because you applied too much paint.

Continue with this down the length of the gun. Always overspraying a different color over the base color. You can redo certain areas over again with the same method. Using the khaki in small shots makes it look like you're seeing the sun behind the grass.

When I'm satisified with the scheme, I'll lightly spray the entire gun with the brown to tie everything together. Total time is less than 1 hour.

Thanks for all your encouraging comments. Much appreciated. :D

I am soo going to do that to my M14, i seen that idea on the film Shooter.

very nice indeed.

It works pretty well but that isnt' the only pattern you are gonna want, unless you like having your gun look it came out of a Sunday news paper comic ;)

Also I share TCB's opinion, it would look better with black grips. Anyone want to tango with me? Do ya, punk?

Bad form Ghost.

I'm sure Souske doesn't mind people expressing opinions about his guns. He's a stand up guy.

Cheers!

I agree with ya man. Seems some people like to make themselves feel special by cutting others down.

[sarcasm]

Its obivous, its fun to do and makes my p3nis feel bigger than the person I am cutting down so....

Souske, GREAT PISTOL! I've always been a fan of the old wood grips but most dont look good on modern pistols IMO, but yours pulls it off.
