isn't it weird that they went with a crane stock that has the capacity to house a much larger battery yet decide to stick a mini equivalent battery in there instead? its just a bad decision. but it can be changed since the cells can just be swapped out, probably, with cell of a larger capacity.

Its not strange at all.

Its a cost saving measure by TM. You have to remember that airsoft is VERY different in japan, these things are very much toys. The simple fact of the matter is that im absolutely amazed at how streamlined the whole package is. Its like buying an RC car at toys r us. Its a plug and play setup for most everyone. Its appealing to new players because its easy as hell to get started. There's no fiddling with wires, no messing around with batteries or anything of the sort. You literally charge up the battery, plug it in and you're good to go.

Other companies will release better batteries in time, you can rest assured thats going to happen. Its only a matter of time.

100% Agree, this imho is what TM AEGs are all about (Maybe not so much in the US but UK and Japan), its a case of take it out of the box, whack a battery in and some beebs and you're good to go, no downgrading, no having to reshim the gearbox or anything at all, you can just use it straight away which is the main reason i <3 them so much.

I imagine the batteries are made from Sanyo cells too like all the old hypercommand ones were, this makes sense because they probably get them at a very good price and being a Japanese company they don't have to bother with import taxes like they would if they imported something like Intellect cells from Hong Kong.

Pinnacle Airsoft upgraded one of these today to 370 fps and a custom 9.6 battery in the stock. the spring is shorter and will NOT work with existing springs unless you trim about an inch off it, the piston runs out of room and there is not enough physical room for the piston to retract resulting in a lock up.
