There might be if you include the ones you Americans have taken and molested the spellings for.

 

However, as far as I am aware, there are only 171,000 odd words (in current use, there are, IIRC 240,000 if you include archaic and unused words.)

According to traditional estimates, neighboring German has a vocabulary of about 185,000 and French fewer than 100,000, including such Franglais as le snacque-barre and le hit-parade."

 

According to the standardized result: 500,000 words, (1,000,000 including scientific words)
