Robin-Hood
Because it's like a smaller version of a MAP. Rather than just a pouch for a hydro bladder. I guess you could just stick pouches on the MLCS carrier, but meh. I prefer this, and I have owned both. I

Hammerhe4d
Soaking wet, muddy and tired after a night raid of a Taliban encampment at Swedish milsim game Hearts and Minds II. After navigating through swamps, dense forests and clear-cuts in total darkness and with a sky that poured down water like I've seldom experienced it wasn't really any stealth needed because of the darkness and the noise from the rain, but standing 3 yards from the enemy and them not seeing me when I aimed my pistol at them was awesome. TheFull9
Right then, been away from this for a while, but the advantage of spending 4 months in the falklands is they pay you (slightly) more and you don't have a whole lot to spend cash on, so I managed to pick up a fair bit of stuff. Stripped out all the guns, mags, optics and knives and here's what's left. Couple of accessories in there, but hopefully you guys can let those slide just this once. Jimmypie
Nice review, id like to see more though, fully loaded with plates etc... looks like a nice vest, ive got a couple of "random/non impression" carriers on my wish list at the mo and this is one of them. Marshi, thanks for the link, im not a subscriber or frequent user of youtube so would never have found it, and had assumed that as CK had only uploaded the kit pile pics today, he wouldnt have made a review yet. Regards, and thanks again CK, keep up the good work, here and overseas Jim.
TheFull9
Nice review, id like to see more though, fully loaded with plates etc... looks like a nice vest, ive got a couple of "random/non impression" carriers on my wish list at the mo and this is one of them. Marshi, thanks for the link, im not a subscriber or frequent user of youtube so would never have found it, and had assumed that as CK had only uploaded the kit pile pics today, he wouldnt have made a review yet. Cheers. Yeah I've just rigged up all the pouches ready for a CQB game tomorrow, don't have any plates to fit though unfortunately. Tried the foam ones out of my Warrior DCS but those seem to be at least a Medium if not a Large so they weren't going anywhere near my Strandhogg. Not sure if anyone even makes replica Small SAPI so I may look in to cutting up some foam for it. With regards the video, it was pretty much aimed at just going in to the details of the construction of the rig. Seeing as just that already ran to 40 minutes of footage I decided not to try and another segment with pouches/weapon shoulder/backpack compatibility etc because then it'd just get a bit mental. The basic WMV file was 6GB as it was by the time I'd rendered the project from Sony Vegas. At the moment the plan is to do another (shorter) video to cover the actual functional stuff. TheFull9
Shame all the MC stuff is covering up the awesome A-TACS item. Heh, now that did make me laugh out loud. Credit where credit's due, it's a bit heavier than I'd like in a UBACS but overall Propper have done a nice job on the TAC-U, particularly considering the price. It's a very nice pattern and I'll be getting some more, mainly just waiting on someone to stock combat trousers with external knee pads at the moment (come on UR-Tac). I'll be sure to post up a better picture of it in some form or other in another thread for you mate.

TheFull9
That's AU, not the FG I'm after, hence why I said they're not in stock at the moment. They've got the Direct Action in FG which to be fair are also very good combat trousers, wore my AOR2 ones just today in a CQB skirmish. It's purely a matter of time however before the material outside the knee pad inserts wears away from all the time I spend keeling on concrete/tarmac/gravel/spikey plants etc, so I prefer to put my money in to versions with external pads. FireKnife
Basic 'summer' loadout, not much but i am doing pistols only. You are looking at a loadout comprised of: 3 Viper Pistol Mag Pouches, 58 Pattern Belt, 58 Pattern Yoke, M56 1911 Magazine Pouch, Generic Fleece, British OG Lightweights, One of my 1911s, naturally. Extra light and works a treat, only thing missing from that pic is my gloves. P.S. if anyone wants to know how to mount MOLLE stuff on a 58 belt and yoke without worrying about the large ammo pouches or some suspender sets to hold it all together just PM away.
