Skarclaw Report post Posted January 27, 2009 FSBE is an old school body armor system. The woodland pattern one was used my Marine Force Recon early in the War on Terror. Its not "old school" at all...

TheFull9 Report post Posted January 27, 2009 Pretty good effort I have to say, the trousers seem a good match. Get the blue shirt and a belt with some kind of drop leg pouch thing and you're just about bang-on there.

DerRelienT Report post Posted January 28, 2009 Early OP: Iraqi Freedom kit when I get a Tri-color Cover: I am short, I do not need to be reminded, nor do I care Thanks, Phantom Nice kit Where did you get your OTV? I've been looking for a small or medium woodland one for quite some time and I haven't seen any covers on ebay or any other store without the SAPI plates. I'm actually thinking of doing a setup just like yours, except with ACU and not DCU

I'm actually thinking of doing a setup just like yours, except with ACU and not DCU I bought the OTV from a Marine on my local forums. It was a great deal too considering he gave me the Kevlar for it free. I believe a few people on Ebay are selling some M81 Point Blank OTVs relatively cheap. Thanks, Phantom
The Crunchy Bunny Report post Posted January 29, 2009 Its not "old school" at all... I would consider a armor system that was used in the late 90's early 2000's and has since been replaced by the FSBE-2 kit old school.

Jaager Report post Posted January 29, 2009 I would consider a armor system that was used in the late 90's early 2000's and has since been replaced by the FSBE-2 kit old school. Considering the rate at which the US MIC replaces equipment, i would consider anything from the late 1990s to early 2000s fairly recent, just not brand new... Now this is Old School:
mrcheetos Report post Posted January 30, 2009 (edited) -ACM Weesatch. -Random MAP I found on ebay for 10 bucks. -Zombie Hunter patch from ASGI -Propper MARPAT Coat. -MAG Midcap magazines -Magpul brand Magpulls. -Green Staedtler Pen (Made in Germany, so it'll never blow up. Ever) Don't tell me to buy a real Weesatch, I can't justify spending more than 100 dollars on any single piece of gear that goes on my body. I want to see if I can make a decent looking loadout without spending hundreds of dollars. In the process of doing just that. So, for all the geardos on the forum, where's the best place to buy a replica helmet, for less than $100? I'd prefer it to be an IBH or a TC2001. I'm not going for any specific loadout. TheFull9 Report post Posted January 30, 2009 Well.. I was just wondering if it's the issued stuff, you see it everywhere, bit like blue roll. I just find it slightly amusing when I spot people using stuff like that, not sure why to be honest but hey.
