[BS]_MARS
One hole is more correct but you can do a 3 hole without getting any grief from me . However, if you're going to spend big bucks on a real one, I'd just hunt down a 1 hole. Also, I've seen many standard issue Rhino mounts if you'd rather spend the cash elsewhere. Titleist
Agreed, it's the 1-hole. I've got a 1-hole Norotos sitting in a box just waiting for a ranger rig.
[BS]_MARS
I can't wait for yours Titleist. I bet you'll have a Carl Gustav too!
Titleist
I'm going to slowly start my 75th setup, taking a few months, probably 3 to save up before I dive back into another rig.
[BS]_MARS
Good things come to those who wait.
Cobbcore11
I would love to build a ranger rig, but all the ranger green pouches are becoming harder and harder to get a hold of, and I would like to purchase everything in one simple order. Plus I don't want to have 90% of the pouches and then have to spend a *beep* load on a single pouch or two on ebay.
Silas5150
Titleist, can't wait to see it! Â I've already got the standard Rhino mounts going, but I know that ebaybanned had the three hole Norotos replicas for sale, and I just wanted to know if that would be fine. I guess I'll just stick with the standard ones then. Â Thanks!
Titleist
hah, it's a big project, and I'm not going to start for a while. Since it's basically all new gear. I can't leverage anything from my SEAL rigs on this, brand new gun is gonna be needed, new sidearm, new helmet, new 1st line and PC, ugh, could be just as expensive if not more so than my SEAL rigs. So I'm fine with waiting.
[BS]_MARS
Buy some Ranger Green krylon and just spray your whole rig (or photoshop it). That should work.
[BS]_MARS
I would love to build a ranger rig, but all the ranger green pouches are becoming harder and harder to get a hold of, and I would like to purchase everything in one simple order. Plus I don't want to have 90% of the pouches and then have to spend a *beep* load on a single pouch or two on ebay. Â Â Â Well, that's the sucky thing about the RLCS kits and such. We as civilians have a hard time getting a hold of the small things (such as that infamous MOLLE cummerbund) that come in the RLCS kit but aren't stocked at places like Triad Tactical, OpTactical ETC. Try Triad and OpTactical, they've got plenty of Eagle gear. Then, if you really want to get you're kit more correct, you're going to have to take ebay out for dinner, get a few drinks it er, take her back to your place and let sparks fly. Then she'll steal your wallet.
[BS]_MARS
Well, there is an RLCS MOLLE cummerbund up on ebay but it's going to cost you a pretty penny. Â Item number - 120244726361
Silas5150
Good Find Mars. After having just spent $500+ on a PACA, RRV, backplate, and pouches, I think I'll pass on the cumberbund. Too bad its not more available. I'd jump on it if it was $100 or so.
Carter
Buy some Ranger Green krylon and just spray your whole rig (or photoshop it). That should work. Â Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not but is there really Ranger Green spray paint?
[BS]_MARS
I was kidding. Ranger Green spray paint doesn't exist!
The Crunchy Bunny
Since were on the topic of Ranger Green items, how does DBT's Ranger Green compare to Paracelite and more importantly Eagle Ranger Green?
Silas5150
Paracelete's Ranger Green isn't Ranger Green. It's smoke Green, and more grey then Ranger Green. I don't know much about DBT's Ranger Green, but TAG's ranger green is closer to Eagle's than Paraclete, but is ever so slightly more brown.
Sinner101GR
I have Eagle RG, PC Smoke Green and DBT Ranger Green, surprisingly, they all work well together. Â I see DBT is selling their Predator for $400 right now, and I would buy it if I had the money....
The Crunchy Bunny
Cool. DBT stuff is like the only relativly cheap RG gear.
[BS]_MARS
Does my quick comparison help? Â
The Crunchy Bunny
Nice dude. Thanks.
Silas5150
Next week I'll post up a comparison between Eagle, TAG, Paraclete, and Blackwater for you guys
[BS]_MARS
Here's another comparison, just missing TAG. Â Â
Carter
Since we're on the topic of Ranger green, I've heard Proud's green is quite close the RG. Any truth to this?
[BS]_MARS
From what I've seen, it's really not. I seems more of a OD that has been oversaturated. I can tell you that a RG pouch on a Proud green rig would be obviously contrasting.
Carter
Well, that's a shame. Thanks.
